Liberty University called on Monday, and dropped a new scholarship offer on Monty.

“Coach Joe Dailey said they have seen watching me since Spring and they’ve seen that I have emerged since my junior year,” said Fenner. “They offered me as a DB and said I’ll also play kick returner and punt returner. He called me today during lunch and said: ‘Congrats we are offering you from Liberty’.”

Fenner (SR WR/DB 6-1 180) already holds offers from Towson and James Madison. There’s interest coming from Michigan State, and if that offer comes, it would be a game changer for Monty.

Interest has been there from Duke and Wake Forest. Monty is in great shape academically. All it would take is one BCS school to offer and many more could jump in the mix once the first BCS offer falls.

According to Matthew Hatfield on Twitter, he just added an offer from Norfolk State.

As FlamesNation described in their latest update, he visited us over the weekend. On his Twitter, he references an in-home visit from Campbell last night and that he flies to Towson for his visit tomorrow. It sounds like we should have clarity from Monty on his decision soon.

Just announced his verbal commitment to Towson on Twitter during his official visit up in Baltimore. Disappointing news but we have plenty of other prospects we are chasing.
