So my sister is in a class at UNC and they are discussing Dr. Falwell. She wants to do her own study and not just rely on her professor and text book: "The Book of Jerry Falwell" for information.....This will be fun. She gets singled out for professing her faith, but I always do my best to give her ammunition. I will update everyone here with her in class debates

My friend did his doctoral dissertation at Arkansas on the historical influence of televangelism and the moral majority in the 80s. He applied for a job posting here but didn't get the job. Sorta ironic lol

Not really. You would WANT students to know what the expectations are before they show up. It would go a long way to dispelling myths about LU. That is unless you have something to hide....

restrict student rights?

how about she writes about BYU, VMI, Air Force, Navy, and Army (West Point) to go along with Liberty. They have a lot rules too, if not stricter.

Yeah, you'd think they'd put it out there so prospective students could review it.

Here are two colleges she could add to her research, Mercer and Shorter. They're headed in opposite directions with their linkage to their faith-based traditions.

Mercer University and Shorter University represent opposite trajectories on the landscape of American education. Given the decisions made by these two schools in recent days, Mercer will receive the applause of the secular world, while Shorter will bear derision. The church had better take a good look at these two trajectories and understand what is at stake.

Shorter has been getting quite a bit of attention for their recent stances. It is cool that Mohler is giving such a small school some attention to a wider audience.
