LU grad Beasley reunited with Tomlin as Harrisburg manager
...[Tony] Beasley’s Harrisburg post brought him back together with an old friend. Former big-league pitcher Randy Tomlin is the Senators’ pitching coach, and a former teammate of Beasley’s at Liberty in 1988. Tomlin, who lives in Lynchburg, also was LU’s pitching coach for nine years.

"We have the common bond there, but at the same time, we’re getting to know each other as far as what he wants and needs (as a manager)," Tomlin said. "It certainly helps to have that relationship already."
