The most successful program on Liberty Mountain deserves its own forum. We give Coach Green and the Lady Flames their props while breaking down their run to the Big Dance once again.
In case this has gone under the radar for anyone else besides me, the Lady Flames are in Israel for a tourney against international teams as part of the Friendship Games starting this Saturday. The players are putting up a journal of their experiences on LibertyFlames.com that include a link each day to photo galleries.
The Ladies played their first game early this morning, taking care of Germany 75-25. Nice to see Tolu play so well.
I have no idea about the level of competition, but this trip should really give us a leg up going into the preseason in October with the extra practice and bonding time.
The ladies won the championship, beating Israel's Under-20 National Team by a score of 82-58. The Lady Flames also went undefeated in the Friendship Games.
Below is a journal entry by Avery Warley and a recap of Liberty’s 82-58 win over the Israel Under-20 National Team in the championship game of the Friendship Games, Thursday morning in Eilat, Israel.
