Hey, guys. A good friend of mine, Patrick Hubbard has organized a golf tournament at Ivy Lake to support a ministry he started with his wife (Barbara), Living Bread Ministries (http://www.living-bread.org).
The tournament is April 24th and is $250 per team. LUconn and I will be on a team, so if you think you can beat us, or just want the honor of meeting us, sign up! The fee includes green fees, cart fees, range balls, and lunch. If you add it up, it's actually a good deal for a team of 4. There will also be prizes. http://blog.living-bread.org/2009/01/07 ... ament.aspx
You can also sign up on Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/even ... 7446751532
If there are any business owners on the board, they are also looking for hole sponsors ($100 per hole). I've got some forms if you're interested, or you can get them though the above websites.
Living Bread Ministries plants churches in the slums of Brazil and eventually Paraguay. They also feed the desparately poor who live in these slums and provide clothing when possible. But most importantly they infuse the Gospel into these forgotten and dangerous areas. This is Patrick and Barbara's full-time job, and they are 100% committed to reaching Brazil's poorest with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
