South Western High graduate Tiffani Smith recently helped Liberty University's softball team to a 5-1 fall season record, including the title of the Virginia Tech Fall Invitational Tournament.
Smith, a sophomore, hurled 32/3 scoreless innings with nine strikeouts in Liberty's 6-1 win over Lynchburg.
In Liberty's 4-1 win over Longwood, Smith allowed one run on four hits and struck out 12 in seven innings.
Smith was the winning pitcher in Liberty's 3-1 win over East Tennessee State. She allowed one run on four hits with six strikeouts and three walks.
