Google is your friend. There's not much on the Rivals & Scout networks since he emerged out of nowhere as a senior.

Bottom line, he led the San Antonio area in both scoring & rebounding. That will get you noticed.

It just explains his availability. Some kids mature later and his results on the floor were unquestionable this year.

And just so you'll know, Taft is one of the traditional powerhouses in the Alamo City and sends kids to DI schools on a regular basis.

I'm not cranky. I am really very happy. I think the facts are all that is important. Speculation means nothing. Facts mean everything.

Well unfortunately youre
1) On a message board (Speculation means nothing?)
and
2) On a message board where most of the time (outside of anything TTL says) people know what theyre talking about when they predict something

That's a joke, right? You people are the worst speculators since the Duke brothers dipped into the orange juice market back in '83.

Don't be disappointed in the guard designation.

If you are playing at home, next year's team just became much more interesting or confusing based on where you are sitting. We may need surnames on both the front & back of the jerseys at first to keep up with all of the new faces.

# Liberty gained guard Jesse Sanders of Houston-HCYA, Tex., who decommitted from Rice, reports TexasHoops.Com.
Is that a recognized word in Texas, Sly? It hasn't made it in dictionary.com yet. :dontgetit

You know, we got a lot of made up words coming from Texas... "Misremembers" (Texas native Roger Clemens)... "Misunderestimated" (fmr. Texas Gov. George W. Bush)...

And don't forget "Stratigary"

OK, I guess that's really Will Farrell, and I don't know where he's from.

It looks as though we will only have 4 returning players from last year's team, one of which didn't even play last year. Even if all these changes are "upgrading talent" is it even realistic for us to be able to contend for a Big South title next year?

Chemistry is a BIG thing in college hoops, and I'm just not sure if we will be able to gel in time for us to make a run.

4 returning scholarship players: Smitty, Jenkins, Anderson and Baker, plus Ohman, who apparently will have a schollie next year.

If Tyler is healthy, I think he will start along with Jenkins and Smith. In addition, having 5 players who know McKay's system will be 5 more than we had starting last year. IMHO that will be enough chemistry to start with, and talent IS important too.

edited to add: Also Stephene has been around the team a year, should have some concept of the system, and has had a chance to play with the returning players, even if it is in an informal setting.

What you're saying is true, but there are no Winthrops or Ashevilles out there next year with top-notch senior led backcourts.

If anything we return the best player, Smith. And we have what appears to be the best overall incoming talent.

There isn't a clear-cut team with a true combination of chemistry & talent that can't be overcome.

The Big South should be wide open next year. And my guess is that that everything will be there for the taking. Should be a fun year.
