It's nights like tonight that make me really wish we had a true, student led support club for athletics. We should've had a better turnout from students. Yea, some were there, but they sat on their hands the entire time.

apparently they've never been to a hampden-sydney game, HSC fans have been notorius for showing up en masse to games drunk off their a** and heckling anyone and everyone, including the opposing team's manager and athletic trainers...

My favorite was LUPD demanding that the Student Section sit-down during the game.

It was just one LUPD officer. The Longwood fans complained that they couldn't see because we were standing up. That officer was told by other officers (I'm pretty sure one of them was one of the guys I got into it with the first night) that we stand every game and we're allowed to. While this was going on, a Longwood fan approached our game ops people (I'm assuming Kevin or Mickey or someone like that) about getting us to sit down and they were told that we were allowed to stand if they couldn't see, they did not have to sit where they were and could move to somewhere else in the Vines where they would have a better view. It got taken care of quick.
