"Flames anticipate being invited to join the NCAA’s Division I Football
Bowl Series (FBS) Division. This would involve Liberty leaving the Big
South Conference and likely competing as an independent for some period
of time."
While the title seems to imply it comes from the State of VA, the tone and content of the whole thing reads like a blatent promo of Liberty Does anyone know who actually wrote it![]()
If the plan is to go independent and work (or force) our way to FBS membership from there, that would be another reason for the change at AD
We may need to start a new thread for this one

The report also says that full professors earn 110k/year. Whatever.

The reason is that he looks like a man who doesn't like to lose or be part of such a program. So I wouldn't be surprised if people will "resign" from their positions in the next few months and onward. In a way I do not mind if he does such actions because you want individuals who a visionaries and not ride along. Its fine that people are nice and wonderful men/women of Christ. Nonetheless if the institution that they're representing isn't moving forward then they have to go. You can also connect this to the word of God. We gave to represent ourselves through a working commitment with our faith in Christ, yet also hard work and determination at our occupations. Of Liberty (mostly Falwell) wants to expose this school as FBS (also a top opponent for other sports) ready, then he has to do what it takes. I believe hiring McCaw was the first steps in that direction. For all those who are keeping the programs behind, no hard feelings. The fact of the matter is that this school, faculty, student, alums, supporters can be so better and committed especially with all the assets that the Lord has blessed Liberty. McCaw is right; we need to engage in all the groups mention above and become a force that will not be reckon with (paraphrasing). That's just my two cents.Where does it say FBS=God's Divine right? Where does it equate on field success with furthering God's Kingdom? That's an awful slippery Theological slope you are treading on. There certainly is validity to being a workman showing themselves approved in God's sight and all that. But there is also the Tower of Babel, the Rich Young Ruler, and a host of other points in Scripture that need to be considered.

Why would any player like Dickens play for HCJC?
