I'd say Gaga and Doritos.

Or animals. All animals. Seemed like nearly every commercial had animals.

Who lost? Eli.

Super Bowl was won by replay official. When a ball does not hit ground, it is a completed pass. That play was turning point of the game.

Come on, that play was in the first half, and it was only a three point game AFTER that. There was no "turning point" in this game, it was just a steady drumbeat of the Denver defense's fist in the Panther offense's face.

I watched that play several times. The receiver did not have clear possession of the ball and the ball touches the ground before he rolls over. It was an incomplete pass and the officials got the call correct. If anything the officials were very quick to call a few personal penalties against the Broncos early that could have changed the game if the Panthers could have taken advantage of them. The game was won by the better team period.

If you looked at it closely enough you could clearly see the front portion of the ball hit the ground while he had it pinned against his chest with only one hand. As he is rolling around the ball is clearly still moving around some. I didn't think this call was all that egregious. Instead of complaining about the ref, how about blaming the receiver who had two steps on the DB and bobbled a great pass. He should have caught that ball cleanly, but he didn't.

Lord knows the Panthers had ample opportunity to move the ball last night. Wade Phillips proved all the doubters wrong and dialed up a great plan to stop Newton from dabbin. Glad to see Manning give credit where credit was due. Von Miller deserved that MVP. Should make for a nice pay day for him.

That is one of those plays had they ruled it a catch it wouldn't of been over ruled either. It was very close and when a play is very close then they will not ever overturn it.

Anyone see NARAL's response to the Doritos commercial?

I have watched replay several times also. Granted he did not initially catch ball cleanly, but when play was over he had the ball and it never hit ground.

Not to mention on same play or the fumble Newton got hit in facemask which should have been a flag. The white hat ref s had 5 Denver games this season. Denver is 5-0 in those games.

Defense won it for the Broncos last night because their defense is historically great, but the notion that defense wins championships is just an old myth created by coaches who needed to find a way to further stress the importance of defense to players. No one needs to convince players scoring more points is important.

Balance wins championships. Rarely does an offensively challenged team ever win a championship and any sport, and vice versa for defense.

It was probably the worst Super Bowl in history. I stopped watching it at halftime and went to bed.

My message for @NARAL - "It takes sick & twisted minds to link #feminism to the devaluation & destruction of human life." #ProLifeDoritos

It's all a matter of perspective. Judging by your pre-SB comments, I'd say if the results were flipped you'd be singing a different tune. Why would you be pulling for Carolina anyways? Josh Norman played for Coastal Carolina. Don't you hate every team not named Liberty?

Carolina is the nearest NFL team to Lynchburg. I do not like any western teams in any sport.

I was listening to Mike and Mike on the way into my school this morning and they mentioned a stat: This is the 12th time that the #1 rated defense has been in the Super Bowl. In those 12 matchups, only twice has the #1 rated defense in the NFL lost that game.

Like pitching in baseball for "one game".

I did not like Carolina's offensive game plan, but fumbles really hurt Panthers, in addition to bad call on the replay.

The ball clearly hit the turf even though he had it pinned against his body. When he rolled over the ball was still moving around. It was a toss up call that went against the Panthers.

Denver's D won the game. The team with the lowest # of turnovers won. End of story.

The question that wasn't asked about that catch though was whether or not the ground assisted him in maintaining control? If it did, which was not 100% clear, then of course its incomplete. If it didn't, which some have said (including Mike Golic this morning) is the case, then it doesn't matter if the point touched the ground, it would still be ruled a catch.

If he doesn't have complete "control" on the ground and part of the ball touches the ground, it doesn't matter.

It never touched the ground. They had great camera angles. No excess for not making the right call.
