Lets show our appreciation for BJ's accomplishments'. This can be done at any and all TV TO's and won't lengthen the time of the game. Except to pick up all the things thrown at you! Ha
Our half time consists of Phantm of the Opera andLes Miserables hits currently

I think that IS EVERY years halftime numbers.

I'm excited about phase 2! The stands may not get full right away, but they will eventually, especially with Liberty wanting to move to the FBS. When those changes occur, the game day experience and atmosphere at the stadium will grow as well! Looking foward to it!

It seems fair to wait til after the playoffs to start working on it. I think they did some preliminary work right after the season in 09 if memory serves and most of the work took place throughout 2010

I think the plan was for after the last home game. Course with the outside chance of another home game, they wanted to make sure they could have the stadium available. You also have the Group AA state championship games next month as well

To be prepared for when the campus upgrades are done in 4-5 years and there are 8k more students on campus. Might as well do it now.

If you read the countless of articles and quotes by Jerry, you'll know that the expansion is all about making Liberty attractive to other conferences.

This as well.

and i haven't read anything about pushing back a year. In the NYT article it had 30,000 seats by next year and that was recent.

I went to the first and the rest of the games, always front row of student section right behind the visitors bench. Did you go to the rest of the game? For instance. Final game of the year agaisnt stony brook, biggest game of all year. They were offering 5 tickets for 5 dollars to faculty. $5 tickets to service members. How ever many people came to the game the Athletic department would match that amount in donation to Hurricane Sandy relief.Along with A big push in Convo friday for students to come. and we only had roughly 14,000... And we cant count on cfaw and parent weekend to boost numbers... Til we average over 19k a game, i think its worthless to expand..

The first building wont be complete until 2014 and it will only hold the current amount of students on circle campus so we arent gaining students in the next 2 + years. Adding 8k students is 10 years away. there is tons of open room anyways on campus.

If the timeline that has been floated is true, that 8k will be in 5 years, not 10. Throw in the part where 24-30k stadium is another piece in our favor for an FBS move, and there's no reason at all to not build it now.

I think its good to just be cautious and not get too far ahead of ourselves. I want to see the expansion and the team successful but don't count your chickens until they are hatched. We don't know if 8k students will even flock to our school...

And if you know Jerry Jr, he carries his dad's idea that nothing is impossible. People told Jerry Sr that he couldn't build a successful large scale Christian university, and 41 years latern even though Sr passed almost six years ago, he is still proving them wrong. Jerry Jr will make it happen

We turn away enough every year to have 20,000 on campus next year.

1. No room for them (yet)
2. Trying to raise average freshman academic marks
3. Need to plan scholarship dollars for 8,000 more kids...Champion, Pastor, etc.

Unless you're a prophet, which I know I am definitely not...haha We do not know what will happen in the next 5 years...Plans can get pushed back if we do not see the growth that we expect. If you build it, they will come...It worked for Kevin Kostner...haha

Im not saying it wont happen but im saying im not sure if 4-5 years is logically. I think its longer. i hope i am wrong.
