And the refs are back. Still up in the air on whether or not they'll do the Thursday night game, but they'll definitely be doing the weekend games.

The Big Lead says the real refs will work the games starting tonight. Thank God. And apparently the refs got everything they wanted from the owners. So basically what it amounts to is that the owners were locking out the refs to try to prove they aren't worth much more than scabs. Hopefully this will be a hard learned lesson for the future then.

I never discount the stupidity of owners.

You are aware that the owners have a profit motive to do what's best for the fans, correct?

Yeah, and I guess that's why they played scab players several years ago, because it was best for the fans with season tickets to watch a bunch of guys who couldn't even make practice squads...

I'd rather watch that than nothing at all. Cancelling the season would have been worse.

Who would have guessed before the season that the Falcons, Cards & Texans would be the only teams to remain undefeated after four weeks?

in order to help our friend cjbradyfan, I thought Id post this week's round of games

Miami @ Arizona- Arizona -6
New England @ Buffalo- New England -5
San Diego @ Kansas City- San Diego -1
Minnesota @ Detroit- Detroit -5
Seattle @ St. Louis- Seattle -3
Thanks! This week has been crazy.

Miami@Arizona - I'll take Miami with the points
NE@Buffalo - NE to cover
SD@KC - SD to cover
Minnesota @ Detroit - Minnesota (points)
Seattle@St. Louis - Rams
4-1 for me this week. Though Minnesota would keep it within five but I figured Detroit would find a way to win. Vikings have definitely been a big surprise this year.

You need to pull a Costanza opposite day for next week's picks.

I need to do something. Despite how bad I am at making picks, somehow I'm still alive in my single elimination survivor pool. Go figure.
