Yep, Thomas Sanders had 21 pts and 10 boards that evening in Racist, er, Rupp Arena.

Should have been a moment to build upon....oh well, ancient history now.

Sanders was a first class kid, spoke volumes about Scruggs when his brothers wouldn't even consider following him here.

Congrats on the hire, 94. And when I said funny, I should have stated humorous considering our success with the family in recent years. Thomas was an Honorable Mention All-American for G-W that year they beat UK.

I got ya Sly, but to think what could have been after that win over UK saddened me, until we got Scruggs out and Holtmann in.....bring on a big pitcher of scarlet and black Kool-Aid for me now.

I will be interested to see if Holtmann goes heavy on the JUCO route with this first class, assuming we will have defections from both what is left from the current roster and the few commits that Scruggs got back in the fall.

How long before Scruggs large ego causes him to pull a power play of some sort against the young coach?

This is good news, it means he won't be living in Boiling Springs anymore, no chance of him being a vulture around the program.

Don't be so sure. I'm not comparing the 2 people, but hiring a veteran assistant with years of experience as a head coach in the region worked out pretty well for a young first time head coach in Rock Hill.
