Well...if they vote straight ticket...expect a GOP landslide in my voting precinct.

there are a lot of democrats on campus and independent obama supporters, so it may not be the landslide everyone expects

as far as city council, that vote is next year i believe so nothing big there, but everyone registering should cause the council to cooperate more if they want to be reelected.

I drove by Boonsy the other day...I saw so many Obama posters it was nuts....I even knew some of the homes, and knowing the people that live there and their biggit attitude they have towards certain people, I cant honestly see them voting for Obama...I think it's a front they put up to keep their street (million dollar) cred in the neighborhood

i doubt that. if they are bigots like you say then why would they support him with a yard sign? most of the people i know that fit that description would never support him in any way, and wouldn't want to be associated with him. i'm pretty sure a yard sign would mean they are voting for him. he has a lot of people behind him. this country deserves him as president with all the crap that goes on in America

Does Jdub think that everyone else is wrong about everything? Sheesh. HMO said he knows these people, take him for his word. I totally believe it. For the most part, Boonesboro people are incredibly two-faced.

i didn't say he was wrong... i said i doubt he is correct :)
i don't know people in boonsboro so that may be true, i just said from my experience with people similar to his description that aren't from boonsy this wouldn't be the case, but there is an exception to everything

i've accepted the fact that he will be our next president. hopefully the repubs will run a candidate with some balls in 4 years, or even better, maybe a new party will form before then

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Universities in the battleground state of Virginia are playing a big part in the fight for votes in the final stretch of the presidential election race.

And one university in particular hopes it can be the deciding factor. Liberty University in Lynchburg held a voter drive, signing up thousands of students who lean overwhelmingly towards Sen. John McCain (web|news|bio) .

Liberty University was founded by ultra-conservative religious leader Jerry Falwell. His son, a McCain supporter, now runs the school and wanted to get as many student to the polls as possible, hoping to put Virginia in the McCain column.

I hope you guys heard about Howard Stern's trip to the streets of New York. He visited with Obama supporters and showed them Obama's platform and asked for their comment. BUT, it was actually McCain's platform. All of these mindless idiots embraced McCain's platform and had no idea it was McCain's. Even when Stern asked what they thought of Obama's VP choice, Sarah Palin, they were strongly supportive. Maybe we need a literacy test before we let people vote.

Another thing to remember is the fact that the polls showed kerry and gore winning big time in the last two elections, but more so why that is important. Let the media keep playing up the fact that Obama is winning by so much. That way, the democrats feel "He's got it in the bag, I dont even need to actually vote" and the republicans do feel the need to vote. This is a big part of what has happened the last two elections

Its like today...I played in a softball tourny where people were smoking weed in public in the middle of the field, etc, etc...but lord knows there were 5-6 Obama shirts out there...not one of these pot heads could have told me what he stands for other then "I hear he's going to give me a hand out"

Really? It's called expanded welfare....and look where welfare has gotten you
