In other news, multiple prestigious universities across the country forced to admit to accepting funding from Jeffrey Epstein, who is much more than a trafficker, but hit job articles have many debating and bickering ad nauseam the trivial faults of jfjr. I’m trying to figure out how Trumps Presidency figures into this equation. The vast majority of these things started and took place prior to it, I had someone yesterday tell me DeMoss was never fired but resigned and could have stayed as long as he wanted. The only reason he left was Junior wouldn’t support Romney in 2016. That’s not a typo. They said DeMoss quit because Junior WAS going to support Romney in 2016 but when he came out for Trump that support evaporated. None of that discussion had jack all to do with the article. Or Junior behavior. And their argument was demonstrably and fatally flawed. But I was the bad guy who bought in to “Fake News”

Intellectual honesty test for you. By your own statements you call for anyone who works at LU to be fired if they drink alcohol. There is undeniable photographic evidence of the Chancellor and a VP drinking alcohol. Are you going to say they need to be fired?

A. Comparing our schools to other schools is a non-starter for me. Obviously other schools have their problems but those aren't the schools I hold a degree from so I'm obviously going to focus on Liberty.

B. Who, on this board, is pearl clutching about nightclubs? It is the continues deception and half truths coming out of Jerry's mouth and his Twitter feed that I have a problem with. Whether people like it or not, he is the leader of a Christian organization, and be default is held to a certain standard. If he isn't comfortable with that maybe it is best for him to slide into a more role where he can dedicate his efforts on business dealings and allow someone else to lead the school.

It's funny you mention this. I was just watching a short youtube video from "Charisma on Command" that discusses something similar, but in relation to Brie Larson. It's a great short watch that really helps shine a light on how people like Brie, Jerry or others should try to respond to situations by putting a positive spin on things (assuming positive intent), and not be butt hurt by every word spoken.

Exactly! Seems like a simple concept to understand but I guess it's easier to pretend this is about Trump or hanging out at a club.

One of the easiest things and most visible, is for Jr. to quit consuming alcohol in public, all around town. Another thing that was a little embarrassing, I was at the game last night with a visitor and was asked why we were advertising for "Iron and Ale".
As the Chancellor of a major Christian university, I believe it is best to avoid these situations.
With some of the other questionable things going on, if he is not reeled in, at some level by the board, I just see this emboldening the current behavior. I am sure it is a rush to have the notoriety he enjoys, but it has to be tempered with reality.
I believe with some changes and a good dose of humility, Jr. can still effectively lead the university. Don't see a productive future without it. I am sure this puts additional pressure on Jonathon as well.
One thing I am 1000% sure of, Sr. would be spinning in his grave. Hate to see this and hope that everything can be worked out. Love LU and want the best for all involved.
