We haven't played good defense in donkey's years, no reason to expect any change this year.
Can still win 7 games tho.

We aren't Coastal, and shouldn't be compared to them. We are in much better shape.

This talk of LU winning at Auburn is silly.
Some times its better to be Lucky than Good. Still counts as a win.

Sep 01 - 6:00 PM - Old Dominion W
Sep 08 - 12:00 PM - @ Army L
Sep 15 - 6:00 PM - Norfolk State W
Sep 22 - 6:00 PM - North Texas L
Sep 29 - 6:00 PM - @ New Mexico L
Oct 06 - 8:00 PM - @ New Mexico State L
Oct 13 - 2:00 PM - Troy L
Oct 20 - 2:00 PM - Idaho State W
Oct 27 - ................ Open
Nov 03 - 3:30 PM - @ UMass W
Nov 10 - .. TBA ... - @ Virginia L
Nov 17 - .. TBA ... - @ Auburn L
Nov 24 - 2:00 PM - New Mexico State W

4 is the ceiling I still believe, but I would not be surprised if we snagged the finale at home and got to 5. If we steal either Troy or UNT, there's 6 but that's pretty much it.
Going back over my projection and i hit on every game played except Troy and New Mexico which both ended up as wins. If the remaining games go as projected, that gives us 6 wins.

I still think we should be happy with a 6 win season. According to ESPN, here are the percentage chance of winning each of the following games:

UMass - 46%
UVA - 7%
Auburn - 3%
NMST - 82%
NSU - 95%

This puts us at 2.33 wins. We will likely only be favored in 2 of the remaining games (UMass is a toss up). Some of you act like you can never beat a team that's better than you and lose to a team that's worse than you.

Liberty CAN beat Virginia and Auburn. Will it happen? Probably not, but that's why they still play the game.

So just drive some of you "realists" nuts, Liberty has a 0.065% chance of winning out according to ESPN. That's a 1 in 1538 chance of finishing with 9 wins.

Not to mention ending the year on a 6 game win streak with two P5 wins, and the most regular season wins since we won 10 in 2008. It would also be the longest win streak to close a season since 1982, when we finished on a 7 game streak. Will it happen? I doubt it, but I've been wrong before.

LU has already won the games against UVA and Auburn. Have you seen the size of the checks?

So what you are telling me is we have an Elizabeth Warren chance of winning out?

There have been some games this season around the nation, that says LU can beat UVA and Auburn. ODU over VT, Purdue over Ohio State, UVA over Miami are 3 that jump out at me.

How many students & locals do you think we’ll take to Hooville?
I’m planning to go, & may have a few friends coming along too.
I think we could realistically beat the crowd we took to JMU in 14 Or VA Tech in 16.

9/8 @ Army 8-3, Armed Forces Bowl (one game to go)--We will lose.
9/15 vs Norfolk State 4-7, FCS - none--Win
9/22 vs North Texas 9-4, New Orleans Bowl -- Loss by quite a bit
9/29 @ New Mexico 3-9, none -- Loss. A long road trip will be made longer with this loss
10/6 @ New Mexico State 6-6, Arizona Bowl -- Loss
10/13 vs Troy 10-2, New Orleans Bowl --Loss
10/20 vs Idaho State 4-7, FCS - none -- Win
11/3 @ UMass 4-8, none -- Win
11/10 @ UVA 6-6, Military Bowl -- Loss
11/17 @ Auburn 10-3, Peach Bowl -- Not even close
11/24 vs New Mexico State 6-6, Arizona Bowl -- Win

We end the season 5-7. I don't expect Army to be as good this year as they were this year and so that loss will sting as will the loss @New Mexico State. I wouldn't be surprised if we find a way to lose another game.

The one positive is there are so many players returning and one would hope they will continue to improve. But that is far from a certainty.
Serving up some crow this morning for breakfast, especially to those who cant seem to find a way to give this team credit for over achieving so far this season.

Army is receiving top 25 votes, and we are 4-3.
I wasn't that wrong and I give this team plenty of credit. I just always want to see improvement. A quality I would expect we would want our players and coaching staff to have as well.

But you be you man.

I think 7-5 is a very good possibility, and 6-6 is almost a certainty now. However, as much as it it possible for us to beat UVA and/or Auburn, the likelihood, in my opinion is minimal. Our defense and special teams play are just too poor for them not to exploit. Not to mention, the frequent in-game questionable calls on offense by our coaching staff. But, I hope they prove me wrong and Gill can get the guys up for the big game as much as he doesn't get them up for the little ones.

We're probably not beating Auburn. We have a better chance to win at UVA then Auburn, and I don't think that's real high either. I don't think we have better than, "You never know" odds of beating of Auburn.

Posty , 5-7 with 4-8 being likely and army being trash is wrong .

Along with all of your other negative comments.

When did being a realist mean you had to be super pestimistic ? You act like us kool aid drinkers don’t have a clue .

Well being 4-3 makes all you negative Nancies look like the fool.

Predicting 2-3 wins for your favorite team and being outrageously wrong has to be the worst feeling.

Why do haters hate ? Bc they think they know it all is my explanation .

He said he didn’t expect army to be as good as they were last year . They are border line top 25. That’s completely wrong. If you are gonna be a negative, you need to be called out for being wrong. Do you posty. Keep being wrong, miserable, and negative.

Saying a team that went 10-3 would be "not as good as last year" isn't the same as saying they're going to be trash. You're being hyperbolic just to try to make yourself look better than everyone else when in fact, you said "Most Likely, 4". You're so much better than everyone else because you predicted one more win.

If you can’t ride the wave and enjoy these wins despite your negativity, that’s when you have gone too far.

Pride can’t let some cheer for this team and celebrate big wins.

Army isnt as good this year. How was I wrong on that?

I'm really happy we are 4-3. Just because I'm not a TG fan doesn't mean it's impossible for me to also be happy where we are at record wise. I'm not sure why that is so hard to comprehend.
