Asa Chapman:

http://www.roanoke.com/sports/uvainsider/wb/102722

He originally signed with UVa after spending a year at Fork Union. UVa couldn't offer him a scholarship because of his grades. WVU was also interested. He put on alot of weight while at Fork Union, so hopefully under Gillespie he will cut the weight down.

Seems like Rocco & co are really going after DL-men

Between Asa Chapman and Ryan Jackson we have some serious talent coming in to join Dugan and company in the interior of our D-line.

Re: Asa's reputed ability to dunk..... Former Olympic weight lifter and current WWE wrestler Mark Henry, who goes about 6'4" was able to dunk in his prime as a strength athlete when he was well over 400 lbs. I remember seeing video of it on TV, but couldn't find it on youtube.

Mark Henry! I never saw him dunk back in the day. But he was light on his feet.

No HMO, Just used him as a reference to a "plus-size" athlete who could dunk.

Several years ago they had a made-for-TV slam-dunk contest between non-basketball pro athletes. Kenny Lofton was in it as well as Mark Henry, and I think Junior Griffey and several football players. Can't remember who won for sure, but I want to say maybe T.O.
Coaching changes

It appears your intel was on the mark.
