many black students have very long hair at LU.....why would he need to cut it??

BJ Jenkins ended up getting his hair cut because he just wanted to play ball. I think he will be fine with his hair the way it is now but I do wonder what Coach will do. Will he allow it or make him cut it?

, I think LU modified the hair code rule last fall: I believe now the hair can be to the MIDDLE the ear instead of on top of the ear.

yeah, that's true. And as long as a he pulls it back, he is allowed to still have longer hair in braids.
