You have to understand. How would you handle the situation? You leave somewhere (and it is widely reported that you and your 'boss' didnt get along) and a few months later your boss is let go. You now are applying for the job. That doesnt look all that great. So you have to understand why he may not be at the front door of JB's office with a big Hire Me sign.


Bottom line is JB will contact many who will never apply for the job, but simply see if they are interested or get input on what direction they should go.

Let me see if I can make this a little MORE clear. RT did not only "not get along" with his boss during his time here, as well as at the point of his departure for the Nats organization, but he also did not get along with his boss's boss all that well. And since that boss's boss will be the one to make the hire, I don't forsee THAT one going over. Bottom line: RT, I'm sure, loves his alma mater. But he won't be coaching there under JB.
