Just because I know everyone has been waiting for my post-game wrap up... here it is


1. Tyler Baker Had a pretty good game... A lot of things you will not see on the box score he did, hustled and played GREAT Defense.
2. LB, Not very accurate, but kept his troops in check, numerous times he went and talked to the players on the bench about how to handle situations... Showed signs of a Leader and I was impressed.
3. Hubbard, did he even play? 4 min in the first half and got a quick 3rd in the second half, he didnt play his game or Liberty Basketball which is why he sat
4. Ace... Ace played well, he came to play... it wasnt 40 and 19 but i will take it
5. Radford Sucks
6. BJ... Gave us some power at the point and i respected his game tonight, Good job B
7. Brew... He is hurt and working hard had a couple big time passes and a couple nice offensive plays, didnt see much of him though
8. Smitty, Good job, nothing special, but not a bad game from #5
9. Justin Holland... AMAZING game for J... I was impressed, Hustling, scoring, his always great defense, and just an overall great game for J... might have been his best of the season in my book
10. GREAT JOB COACH D!
11. It wasnt my usual game crowd, but i was around a great group of LU fans tonight.


Now Lets get VMI, beating any team 3 times is tough, but if any team an do it, i think its this one (or Winthrop ) As stated by Will earlier to me, Its a great time to start a winning streak...

Seriously, after the heartbreaker to CCU and 2 road losses at Longwood and Niagara, alot of people had this team counted out. The team was heading to VMI and Radford, two places we don't normally play well at. Let's just say we have not played well anywhere on the road the past 2 years. Many had the Flames losing out. I have to give the team and the coaching staff credit for not mailing it in. The team won two road games. They achieved a 3rd place finish. It has been a long season, but I think the next week will be exciting for us. Congratulations on the last 2 games and let's make a serious run at the championship!! Good luck to the program. I am behind you!

Just to affirm what Andy has already said,

Baker did play great defense today IMO. He was battling.
Justin Holland was awesome today.
I thought Russ gave us some good minutes. He had a few boards and a sort of half dunk.
I was hoping for more from Brew, but he picked up some fouls early, but Holland stepped up big for him.

If we win Tuesday, I hope the frantic pace of the game does not wear down LU for Thursday's game. That means a travel day Wednesday. Is the trip to WU a flight or a long bus ride??? I am dreaming of getting to the BS final... That would be so cool; also would give Larry another crack at a possible NCAA appearance. GOOD NIGHT!

If we make it to the conference championship set for next Saturday, I am so there!! Taking the bus for sure....I remember my first semester here going to the conference championship game at the Vines...nothing like that moment...by far my best LU athletics memory....

It would be different going on the road for the game...but a whole lot of fun!

LB is getting to play (if we win Tuesday) in his home town for the bs tournament. He will either end his big south career in Lynchburg or Charlotte no matter what happens.
