Interesting. By our choice or no?

I threw out the ASUN idea awhile ago. I kind of preferred them over the BS since there are a few unstable schools in the BS with Presbyterian and GWU. Plus Longwood sucks.

ASUN would certainly be a step up They have at least 1 school who wants to spend money on Athletics even though they don't have FB

I highly doubt we would leave the BSC for the A-Sun by choice. If the Big South is short-sighted enough to kick us out, it is widely believed the A-Sun would welcome us. The A-Sun may have more stable schools and more interesting destinations than the BSC, but the travel footprint is pretty bad and the level of play in most sports is a push.

Travel does suck but I rather be in a conference that has schools spending money on athletics. Outside of High Point no one in the conference takes athletics seriously. Sharing a conference with FGCU will not only bring the students and locals out it will make both our MBB and WBB programs better. Along with their MBB recent success their WBB has been ranked a couple of times. KSU, Stetson and FGCU usually have strong baseball programs as well.

That's is quite an assumption without knowing the experiences of one's life. Remember when you responded to me that we'll never even have a chance playing a ND type or even BYU type team anytime soon? Was that too bridled for reality? Well I guess it is to you but hey anything is really possible. I'll stick with my enthusiasm because it's been working well so far. Hope you'll enjoy the new chapter of LU athletics as well as everyone else.

Based on your posts I can tell you are 100% Fanboy with little to no understanding of how college athletics especially the business side works. That's fine. Good on you.
I don't think I ever said BYU would never play LU. In fact, once LU made the jump I think I put forth a rationale for it.

Well you're wrong. I'm not a fanatic but I hope for the best for my almer mater. Since you want to talk about posts, you did state that LU wouldn't play BYU, Army and other schools on that level(guess you forgot about that). I never said I was a scholar on business especially in college athletics, but money plus connections talks(don't need years of experience to see that). Of course politics is also involved, but that at times can be put aside. Whatever makes you feel good though since it really doesn't matter. All I know is that we're playing ACC, SEC and known independent teams for 2018&2019. My poor understanding surely made some good guesses lol. Oh by the way, you were called out on the other forum for the same reasons of what you're doing to me.

From Feb 20 in the 2018 Schedule thread. You even responded to SLY and I

Great interview by Jon showed a great deal about what our AD is working to fill the 2018 & 2019 season.

I don't see us facing BYU in 2018 but 2019 looks very possible. The Cougars have their slate full already for 2018. But in 2019 they have three games to fill and five slots to use to get it done. In addition to 9/7/19, they also have four stright weeks of open dates from 10/26-11/16. It loks a golden opportunity for us to get on their schedule as slots get tighter with them in 2020.

An LU - BYU series would be a great thing. Both teams have the money to travel. Gives both teams another game. Gives BYU a win and LU exposure. I hope it happens

You WERE right that money and connections make the World go round.
And who ever called me out on the other board is an idiot. First of all, I don't post there. Secondly, when I was made aware of it and read it I had to laugh at the OP's inability to specify WHICH Purple they were calling out AND they couldn't keep FBS and FCS straight.

Cruznflame reminds me of when I first joined this board. I thought I was so smart and knew everything, and that everybody else that disagreed with me was stupid.

Then I grew up.

Easy for us as fans to say we would rather see FGCU, KSU, and some of the other A-Sun teams at home than our current BSC opponents, but for the players in ALL sports, having to make 4 trips a year to FL as well as ATL, Nashville and Newark means a lot more plane flights and classes missed. Even from a fan perspective, it would make traveling to away games difficult and expensive.

I don't mind if a WVU guy abuses the English language, because that is to be expected, but LU alumni are better than that. Study

Probably not--hard for a Marshall/UVa guy to pull for either team: like watching a fight in a trailer park. :boxing

Not even close. None of my post even suggests that I'm stating that I'm 100% correct but just revealing possibilities even if it doesn't look like its possible right now. Also even when others disagree with me, I never called them names and definitely not stupid. I'm the one that is usually mocked or laughed at(even called delusional). Everyone has their opinions and I also have mine. All I know is so far some of what ive posted has been happening so I'm not going to stop with what I hope will happen in LU's future. I will be around, Lord willing, for awhile so I hope my alma mater succeeds while still grasping it's mission. This is about improvement, so I don't see how that is immature for me to hope that LU will receive opportunities that will help with the school as a whole.

P.S. Also I was and still right about anything can happen by just looking at the 2018-19 schedule. Your comment is actually immature based on assuming that I am being a know-it-all when I never said that anything will actually happen. Possibly happening and actually happening is two different things.
