Great stuff as always, Chris. I noticed you avoided deftly avoided the cynicism arounding this program that comes from many around the mountain. I honestly think Chadwell is the real deal.

He has them trending in the right direction...thing is he still will have to do something that has only happened twice in their history...beat Liberty. even on our worst days (2012 comes to mind), the Bucs have not shown they are over the Sparky shaped hump in their path. even in the mediocre Karcher years, he beat the Bucs (save the 2005 game and i believe the 2000 matchup) pretty soundly. I think he goes to 0-2 against Liberty this year but that's just me drinking the Kool Aid I guess

[Chadwell]just wanted us to compete. We raised each others’ games. We were able to see each others’ capabilities. We pushed each other further and further. It brought new excitement to the players first, then to the program. It refreshed the program itself.

Not only that, but they put it on paper and won big games. They beat Coastal, something we haven't done for two straight seasons. Sure, we annihilated them at the end after they were completely gassed and beat to a pulp, but they haven't forgotten. They will be dangerous, even though I think that we will win.

As time went down, to see it slip away, it was heartbreaking. Walking into the locker room, seeing everyone’s faces, it’s definitely a feeling we don’t want to feel again. It’s definitely something that motivates us, especially with so many guys coming back. It adds coals to our fire. We’re not going to let it go. We’re going to use it.
