I've been reading and comprehending things for a lot longer than you've been alive. If you want to constantly read between the lines and argue about things you ASSUME they are saying go right ahead. You only end up looking foolish in the end.
Then surely you just woke up or you would have easily seen who I was arguing with. Mind explaining how I'm reading between the lines? Or how I'm assuming something that isn't based purely on the information at hand? Also, why would you care so much?
You win. Enjoy.

between CJ making up things to argue about and BJ on grammar patrol this board has completely fallen apart the past few months.

Flames will play well, but Wake will win by 2 touchdown. You may put the koolaid down now on both sides. (or if you are offended by the koolaid analogy, try powerade zero)

jbock13 - Your track record recently in these types of proclamations isn't stellar. I'm not ready to write anything off as a blowout loss nearly seven months out.

I'm just trying to figure out who he's arguing with. I don't see where anyone said talent alone = wins.

You don't have to say anything to imply something. Someone made the argument that because Wake Forest beat NC State last year, WF was more talented than State.
Where, when? I said Wake was the better team, not more talented, and that they fell apart down the stretch due to injuries.*HMO Edit*

I think we know Allen and Abnar are running the ball and have a good idea who is catching the ball, Kelly Fergie, Cordasco (spelling) plus all the new receivers and tight ends. QB ist he big question mark, if we have solid qb play this is a winnable game. Of course thats a big if at this point.
This is a very talented Wake Forest team. They beat that supposedly more talented NC State team and fell apart at the end of last year due to injuries. They'll be returning 7 offensive starters and 8 defensive starters. They've got a superb QB in Tanner Price (3017 yards, 60%, 20 TD/6 INT). We'll be in a pretty much the same position we would be against NC State.

I'm not sure how fan support really matters in football, or any other sport, except to the fans. Any team that is that affected by the crowd isn't very good.
Would you like to explain to me how you didn't imply Wake is more talented than State based off of a win over State?

To be honest I felt better about our chances in the NC State game than I do this one .... but there are so many unknowns for LU going into this season? New coaches, new QB, their first year on campus?

The matchups (9) - Sept. 1: Liberty at Wake Forest. Sept. 8: Presbyterian at Georgia Tech. Sept. 15: Charleston Southern at Illinois; Presbyterian at Vanderbilt; Stony Brook at Syracuse. Sept. 22: Coastal Carolina at Toledo; Gardner-Webb at Pittsburgh; VMI at Navy. Sept. 29: Stony Brook at Army.

Dateline, Upset City? - Army's option offense might not outgain Stony Brook backs Miguel Maysonet and Marcus Coker.

Don't overlook - Liberty's visit to Wake Forest will be the debut of new head coach Turner Gill, who knows a thing or two about the FBS level.

A little off topic. they were talking about SB's rb against army. with all due respect to our departed DC, with the right D this year i think it will be a totally different game. not saying we will shut it down or even win the game, but will not be like last year. at least that's what i want to think.

when you try to blitz the middle and force strong powerful runners who are fast as well to the edge to match up with the secondary it's going to get ugly. It happened time and time again and they wouldn't adapt. Should have went away from that awful game plan after about 2 possessions when they saw the secondary couldn't tackle those guys (in their defense, theres not a lot of secondary's that could or should have to make those plays that often).

I hope we play william and mary with him running that silly scheme or even Richmond if it was Rocco pushing it as most have suggested. I just hate that bend but dont break mentality

I watched Miguel Maysonet and Marcus Coker in the playoffs. They are hard to defend. I'm surprised SB didn't win out. Where did they finish up in the polls ... I think they should have been a top five team.

Thanks! I'll be around more come football season. Getting married in a couple of months...
Glad to see that we are going to move up and play big-boy football now. It will be nice when we complain about having one Big South team on the schedule.
