Booooo. I'm gonna miss my boy Damien! Kidding on the Boooo part Chris of course. Welcome back man. I can go back to stalking you and taking random pictures at various sporting events around the state of VA. I am going to miss Damien though. We had a blast at the Big South tournament this past March.

Damien did a fine job, and he's given me some ideas of things he was eager to work on for the fall. He's the one I feel bad for in this scenario, but we both knew this was a possibility the second BH Media purchased Roanoke.

Chris Lang wrote:... I'll say this, Liberty will no longer be a second-class citizen on our website. Plenty of things to work out still, but expect the InsideVTSports page to be rebranded as an InsideLUSports page. It's our Division I team in town, and we need to own it. People will go to Roanoke for its Tech coverage. People will come to us for our LU coverage. That's the way it should be. We'll still have plenty of Tech and UVa in our paper. We have to, considering the amount of alumni in the area. But we need to throw our reporting resources at the things in our backyard, so expect more and more LU coverage. The school is evolving. Our coverage should too...

Chris covered Liberty athletics for the local paper (News & Advance). He was promoted to cover VT, but due to mergers in ownership, is back to covering Liberty (which is good for us).

I forgot the man crush BJ has on Chris Lang...I finally found a negative of having him cover Liberty athletics again.

90-minute commutes had to get old after awhile, Chris. It is too bad Damien is gone because when he's around we win things.

Curse or no curse, I'm glad to have Scribe back working the angle son the mountain. I stand by my post earlier in the thread about Chris being better than most of the beat writers here in Houston. We're blessed.

Does that mean we can stop appreciating Chris until he leaves again?

It´s a pretty good one, but not in the class of our new basketball PA announcers.

Yacht Rock wrote:I was considering shaving mine this week but if we are going to have an old fashioned beard off, I might keep it on.

What are the stakes?
First off, Why would you ever consider shaving off your beard. Beards are awesome. Chuck Norris rocked a beard. So did Sean Connery. Beards Augment the perception of our age and social status. in fact until Alexander the Great ordered his armies clean shaven because he became afraid that enemies would use pulling of his mens beards as a tactic to gain advantage in war, beards were a sign of honor! studies have shown that Men with Facial hair are 2/3rds more attractive than clean shaven men. 2nd noone will beat my beard after football season is over. I'm going for duck Dynasty long beard. My fiance has already given me the go ahead. I knew I loved her. :)
