The firing of the Fridge was a business decision, and everyone knows that. I like the Edsall hire, but maybe I put too much stock into elevating a FCS program to a FBS BCS participant in the past decade. It may not work out, and time will tell. It certainly was a safe hire, but I still think it's a good one.

The only thing I question is that you fire a good coach in order to hire someone who can energize the program, and it's fan base and Edsall is the guy? Edsall is good, but he's not a big name. It speaks to the AD getting cold feet by not hiring Leach, and it's confirmation of what we already know in that Maryland isn't exactly Alabama.
