Since this is about the O's, go Rays!!!!!

P.S if you see the random tampa bay fan at a o's game, it's probably me :D

I think the O's are definately heading in the right direction. Of course I'm not an O's fan, but I'm glad to see finally that the front office has gotten serious about winning. I would be encouraged under Showalter (sorry if I misspelled it) and good, young hitting. Unfortunately, I don't see the O's fixing their pitching problem, which is what needs to be fixed the most. But that's just my view.

Good luck for 2011.

Actually, I'm encouraged by the O's pitching. The staff is very young, but there is a promising amount of talent with the likes of Arrietta, Bergesen, Matusz, Tillman. The added power at the IF corners will hopefully provide some offensive support. Now we need a closer.

O's got their closer. "The Orioles added to the back end of their bullpen on Tuesday, agreeing to terms on a two-year deal with right-hander Kevin Gregg, who could eventually land the closer's spot from incumbent Koji Uehara."

He's better than Uehara, but Gregg certainly isn't a clutch closer. Watching the Rays games against Toronto I can think of about 3 saves he blew against them. I think the O's are getting places but as I said before the bullpen and starting pitching needs help. The hitting should be above average this year. I'd expect about a .500 season. But there's no doubt the future is getting brighter in Baltimore.

I'll take a .500 season and probably be happy about it.

In full disclosure I'm a Rays fan, but I just really really really love baseball. It's the best sport :D

Nice. Hope Luke Scott does OK in left field. Pie seemed to be finally coming around, so not good news for him, but having Scott, Vlad, Reynolds and Lee all in the lineup makes this lineup interesting.

The Earl of Baltimore always loved the 3-run homer, so we would love the 2011 version of the O's.
I just wish we still had Palmer, McNally, Cuellar, and Dobson winning 20 games each.

BUMP

Adam Jones' over-the-shoulder catch made the #1 play on Sportscenter this morning. I watched it live on TV last night, and the Orioles' homer announcers said it rivaled Willie Mays' famous catch at the Polo Grounds.

It was pretty ridiculous Cider. I think it might be the top play of the season.

That was a sweet catch. I thought at first he lost the bubble gum that he is always chomping on when he came off the wall, but watching the closer replay it was just a couple of sunflower seeds that flew out. His upper-deck homer wasn't bad either. Glad the Birds pulled out at least one win on the trip. Now maybe they can rebuild some momentum.
