The last episodes are always great. Remember, the last week will likely be 2 hours. So there is probably actually three shows left.

Purple-the one running CTU aint too shabby either!
2 hour season finale tomorrow. Also I was watching Live at Liberty this morning, Dr. Falwell was speaking at the most recent college for a weekend, and he mentioned 24 was his favorite show. He now already knows what happens tomorrow.

I am just not nearly into this season finale as much as I have been in the first 6 season. I am definately hoping for a great show, but there does not nearly seem to be the drama/suspense leading into the finale this year. Now, Heroes on the other hand....

I've watched all 6 seasons this year. The previous 5 were all better, but maybe that's because i watched 4 of them on DVD. I don't know, the characters, the plot, all of it seems lacking this year. Then again, maybe the show is just getting old. My mom watched it the first time this year and she loves it.

Did any of you guys catch the 24 spoof on the Simpsons Sunday night? It was better than the actual finale the next evening.

The ending flat-out sucked.

The only thing good about it was that it put an end to a pretty sorry season. It does, however, allow the writers of Season 7 to completely start from scratch which can only be a positive.

Awful, horrible, and not really all that good. Mrs. Purple and I were discussing the fact that UP UNTIL he strangled the terrorist with the bomb it was shaping up to be the BEST 24 ever!!! But after investing soooo much time there was really no choice BUT to watch the finale.
Here is what we know-
Jacks father is NOT dead. He snuck out on the boat he was going to leave on. Which made me wonder why didn't Jack take his dad to that boat and drive away? It obviously wasn't THAT far since he was gonna take the boy on it.
Chang will get the snot beat out of him by Jack, but only after he is exchanged for some low level bureaucrat from China. (Arranged by Jack's NOT dad father)
Aubrey will pose for Playboy (right after Chloe does a Pregnancy is Sexy spread)
We have not seen the last of Bill BUchanan. He is a flat out STUD. When I get that old I hope I am STILL that studly!!
THey can start all NEW with a story line, a la James Bond (Let's just hope he doesn't go Gay like Bond is said to do during the next 007)

Pregnant Chloe Playboy spread...funny stuff. Actually, Audrey could join her as she is now pregnant in real life.

I was reading in TV Guide that next year will go a completely different direction. They believe that there will actually be no CTU at all. Essentially a completely new cast, with only a few carry overs. There will be no Muslim terrorist, and they promised potentially the best villian ever.

It can only go up from here....right?

This could be interesting....someone ( i honestly can't remember who ) said they read that they might just kill jack early in the season and do 2 seasons of prequels on how Jack became Jack.....anyway they go, its gotta be better than that worthless ending....

I could see that...especially with the way it just ended...Jack was looking like he was willing to jump at the end...

The show's creators and producers have said repeatedly that because of the show's 1-day nature, they don't have to be in historical order, so there can always be seasons that take place in the past. I wouldn't be surprised if they went in that direction. That always gives them the option of bringing characters back who have died.

I think you guys may be onto something with the pre-quel idea.

By doing prequels, they could bring back some of the "favorites" as well, without having to draw up a crazy story.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — The United States will have a female president next year — on the Fox TV series "24."

Tony Award-winning actress Cherry Jones will play President Allison Taylor when the show about the exploits of counterterrorism agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) returns in January for its seventh season, the network announced Sunday.

Jones' term will coincide with Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential bid, but Fox Entertainment Chairman Peter Liguori said fiction and real-world politics will not intersect.

"It's a dramatic decision. ... The president is a very important piece of '24," Liguori told The Associated Press. "We've had a broad array of presidents on the show; why not a female president?"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "General Hospital" star Annie Wersching has landed the major new female lead opposite Kiefer Sutherland on the next season of Fox's "24."

She will play an FBI agent who is in an adversarial relationship with Sutherland's character, Jack Bauer.

Additionally, Bob Gunton is in negotiations to join the show as a regular next season when the action in the real-life thriller moves to Washington. Gunton, who guest-starred on three episodes of "24" last season as Secretary of Defense Ethan Kanin, will reprise his role, now chief of staff for the new president (Cherry Jones).

I like that guy, ever since his role in Shawshank Redemption. Here's hoping for a Morgan Freeman voice-over that goes like this:

"I'd like to think the last thing that went through the Warden's head, other than the bullet, was how the heck Jack Bauer ever got the best of him."

Interesting. I'd read that Janeane Garofalo was awarded that role, or something similar.
