My buddy has family in Scottsdale and both of us have free space available flight privileges, but these bowl games are during heaviest travel season. I bought a plane ticket in 2019 and hit our first bowl game. I'll probably regret not doing it this year.
Plenty of seats available on the flights we are on!

To late for us now, friend had to "bid" vacation the first week 2024 to go. Bids closed now. We figured the flights would be packed. His wife is a LU soccer alumni. 🔥

What is the LU allotment

Yeah…..might be a little short of that actual attendance wise. BUT I’m sure they will all be ‘bought’

12,500 Fiesta Bowl ticket allotment = $4,000,000+ cost for Liberty. I know the resellers are cheaper, but buying via the school does more than just help the attendance and travel numbers look good.

That’s why I bit the bullet and went through the school. The sacrifices one must make :D
Now if we hit the Mayo Bowl we are hitting the secondary market. :D
And the Phoenix Suns game will be on the secondary market as well :D

Liberty has to buy what they don't sell. I wish we got more fan support. This is what big time football looks like and it's not cheap, but will create some of the best memories of your lives.

We have 135,000 current students!!! We graduate somewhere around 30,000 every year... We should have decent presence on the west coast. If I was liberty and I knew I had to buy them anyway - I would send two tickets to every student or Alumni within 500 miles of Glendale. I would send them with 2 red t-shirts...

This bowl has been a huge marketing boost for Liberty and if we are the best G5 school next year - they can't keep us out for this reason, but if it's close with someone else, who will travel better, they will.

rtb72 wrote: December 22nd, 2023, 9:59 am I'm sure LU has thought of this, but take any extra tickets and send them to the military bases. I know there's a Marine Corps base in Yuma. I think maybe there is an AF base in-state as well.
Luke AFB is right there in Glendale, then there is Davis-Mothan in Tucson. I believe the bowl already gives some tickets to Luke, but not 100% sure on that one. But either way, not a bad idea.

With the secondary market being so much cheaper than what the school was offering, I don't think the "official" ticket sales will be a reflection of the actual attendance in red. I know 8 folks going from VA. None of them bought tickets through the school. It cost enough to get out there, no one wanted to spend an extra 100-150 bucks per seat. I'm sure many west coast alums are doing the same. Sales on the secondary sites actually don't look terrible (prices are remaining steady closer to the event, which shows good demand).

I hope you are right. I’m concerned there will be plenty of good seats still available at kick off.
As for the secondary market I usually wait till day of to get tickets unless I find a superb deal in the seats I actually want. Prices plummet the closer the event starts. Heck we bought u2 Sphere tickets the day of for 30% less than we paid before and the seats were spectacular. Optimistically I think secondary tickets have gone up a bit since first announced so that could be a good sign

Ill flame wrote: December 22nd, 2023, 11:08 am They also have fort Huachuca in southern Arizona. Part of me is regretting not going to fort bliss like I had a chance to. I would've taken the 6.5 hour drive for this game. 14 hours is a little too much for my pregnant wife though.
My old stomping grounds for 96C training! Bivouac in the High Desert of Nogales in February was like a vacation after Basic Training at Ft Leonardwood in the middle of winter!

*The MOS has changed two or three times since I was in.

Cider Jim, I thought you were THE guy in LU's Honors program...how could you confirm and enable BC's logic and conclusions on this? If he was putting this up as a satirical humor, it would be one thing, but I believe he really thinks this is true! :D
