Not sure how you could say never...if we wouldnt have lost a few games I think there was a better chance of playing them then not playing them

I would guess the individual team choices are based on last year in which Winthrop went to the tournament again and G-W knocked off Kentucky while VMI at the time was mediocre at best.

Is this mercy-killing or cross-pollenation?

Dude, the teams were selected before the season started, and yes we would want to play Davidson.

I was under the impression that the teams were not picked before the year started. If that was the case you would think Radford would have been picked over you guys, as per the preseason rankings. But I guess there is some leeway there. When was the pool decided? I can't find anything dating it.

And some of these teams get 3 or 4 year contracts to be in it. Like Davidson had a 3 year contract, which ends this year, to be in the bracketbuster.

The selectors wouldn't know enough about Radford to know they finished strong, had everyone back, and were picked to do well in conference. They would have just looked at last years record and left them out, just as they looked at Winthrop's and put them in.

That argument doesn't hold water because they would have just looked at our record last year and put us in. There had to be a little research that went into it. You guys were picked fourth. The Larry Blair Jr storyline probably put you in over the Greenburg story. Being that it was decided early I can see why VMI wasn't included.

I would think that Liberty would have some away tickets available for you. You can go online and get them at http://www.coxtix.com/.
You probably want to go ahead and get them sometime this week. We have an instate rivalry this coming Saturday which will sell out and I'm sure the ODU v LU game will sell out as well.

I tried googling him. Here's what I got.

Results 1 - 10 of about 1,550,000 for seth curry. (0.07 seconds)

I was a little disappointed that my name only returned 1,150 results.
