Just did some quick math- if daily death rates hold steady between now and the end of the year, we are looking at about 300,000 deaths in America in 2020 from this thing. I remember when Fauci’s prediction of 100k-200k was laughed off as “doomsday.” Let’s pray we get a handle on this soon, whether through a fast-track vaccine or more effective therapeutics.

That is incorrect. It was Dr Birx who said 100-200k fatalities if everything was done perfectly. Although she was talking in reference to 15 days to flatten the curve and/or the initial wave.

Biden has now said we will have an additional 200k deaths by the end of the year.

And yeah, hospitalizations are up. They are a record high in some states. That's not turning the corner Donny. I guess he is trying to get more votes too.

Check out Vermont. They refused to let this become a partisan issues and haven’t had a covid death in two months according to the story I read yesterday. Their main news sources also turned off comments on social posts to keep misinformation from spreading.

Look for “data shows that the COVID tests are turning up high numbers of people with the Rona protein. Scientists now feel that just possessing the protein does not make one capable of spreading nor indicate that the person actually has Rona. This is great news in light of all the increase cases we are seeing Globally....blah blah blah”

Right which is why I made it a point to bring up the fact that deaths are rising. The silver lining would be the death rate is not nearly as high as it was which indicates we have made strides in treatments for everyday people.

I don't see anything indicating those death numbers will be going down anytime soon. ICU beds are filling up again and that has been a pretty decent indicator that deaths will continue to rise.

We are also entering flu season. Take a peek at the number of those deaths compared to years past. That might be a possible explanation

We shall see, my friend. I'm anticipating a rise in flu deaths this year in the same way we saw a lot of excess pneumonia deaths. COVID testing should be to the point where there shouldn't be a lot of COVID/flu deaths that don't get the COVID marker, but we will see.

I listen to several of Bidens campaign speeches. He said Trump was handling it all wrong. So I'm guessing he knows what to do. I'm looking forward to seeing what he's talking about.

I thought Trump was doing an excellent job. Some women and a few males don't understand his type. He's an alpha Male, a leader, and he refused to cower down to the virus publically. But the steps he took were spot on.

If Biden wins let's see what he has in mind.
