More than likely... You guys there?

We have an office in Asheville already - so I'm there a good bit.
Asheville would be a good location. I was just there over the weekend, and my brother who lives there was totally oblivious to the current frozen yogurt craze. Apparently they don't really have much in terms of frozen yogurt there (I saw a Yo Lo, but that was it).

Yeah - not quite sure why there hasn't been one there, but that's about to change;)

I'm wondering what business book he read where it said to go around poking bears?

Dear Mr. Goodie here's a good business lesson from Machiavelli: "Men ought either to be well-treated or crushed, because they can avenge themselves of lighter injuries, of more serious ones they cannot; therefore the injury that is to be done to a man ought to be of such a kind that one does not stand in fear of revenge."

Ahh, page expired. I can only guess that the Mr. Goodies page was taking shots at frozen yogurt franchises? I don't understand why on earth he would do that, have you seen the lines at Mr. Goodies this year? They stretch almost all the way to the Chinese dollar store just about every night. They're killing it this year, I don't know why you'd have any reason to start a fight when things are going so well.

And I've heard the type of money Mr. Goodies made last year, I can't imagine what the increase has been in 2012.

From what I could tell (before the post in question was taken down), the owner of Mr Goodies had a beef with somebody from Bloop and he decided to air his grievances in a very public way...

From the apology comment, it says that they own a few Sweet Frogs (not any of the lynchburg ones). Interesting. 1. They can't really have a beef with froyo. 2. Why would they not open Mr Goodies in other localities? It's way better than that other garbage.

i still find it funny people buying yogurt over ice cream because its "healthier" then proceed to mound m&ms, nuts, oreos, and fruit loops on top.

like people at pizza buffets that get diet coke.

MG first post seemed to be a lame attempt at humor at his competitions expense but after bloop kind of egged him on his response was out of line.

I just can't believe no one recommended a good marketing firm to help MG out with his social media and PR. Anyone have a good suggestion?

1) You got some hard info to back that up laughing boy?

2) As I said, I like both. Maybe that makes me an enigma but I do

Just got back in town and didn't hear about this until it was pulled down. Not sure what that guys problem is... He owns a SF up in Winchester and thinks we are opening one up there because he's there already. Truth is - it's a franchise store purchased by two local guys (Guys that went to his store all the time and came to Lynchburg to visit family - went to Bloop and what? Liked it much better. He thinks we scammed to get over 11,000 likes on Facebook - BLOOP IS OWNED BY AN ADVERTISING AGENCY!! Does he really think that we can't get more likes than a one-off ice cream stand? We have 17 locations going in right now and we aren't looking at where his stores are. NOW - I might just have too;) And maybe put up a little ice cream stand in that old Kroger shopping Center during the summer and sell it for half his price?

He has been talking trash to all our local vendors and say let him have at it. I'm a super competitive guy and this just motivates me... I will never talk bad about Mr. Goodies - Love that place, so do my kids - it's a different gig and very inexpensive goodness. To bad people have to get their feelings hurt, rather than just accept that competition will happen - heck, McDonalds doesn't go on Facebook to slam Burger King when they open next to them - they embrace it and know it might turn more people on to Fast Food.

MG - Thanks for the extra plugs and getting the public talking about Bloop. For the record - Our yogurt taste very similar to Ice Cream - Actually during testing - slipped in some and people still liked ours;) and Yogurt is a lot healthier and most people eat just fruit and/or nuts on their yogurt - it's really only the kids that load them up with candy.

of course it does owner of a yogurt shop.

i saw countless adults heaping loads of sugar onto their ice cream the 3 times we just HAD to experience this phenomenon while visiting the city.

It's not the norm. We go through tons more fruit and nuts then candy...

And for the record - we were testing with people that had no idea what side we were on and what they were eating. For all they know we were testing for MG.
