Today from 4 to 6,I heard the Radio show with Justin Ditmore and Sammy Eanes,they said they would be on tomorrow too,is Roberts out of the lineup?I see
his show has dissappeared from the web page also,replaced with The Sportsbash with the previous host.I also noticed 93.3 is down,did that bad storm last night knock it off the air?When 93.3 was on,it was simulcasting 106.3 ,still broadcasting the Danville Braves when the Sportsline should be on here in Lynchburg.Looks like 93.3 is back up this morning. :D

I also wonder about 93.3. Ever since it has been on the air with ESPN, the signal has been sketchy, at best, in the Lynchburg area.

DOGPILE!! Ever since the station/ownership changes, all the local stuff sounds like it's being broadcast inside a tin can, and there's tons of echo. Just sounds kind of podunk.

93.3FM is not at full power yet...it is still being set up, the problem should be solved soon....

thats how i feel after about 30 seconds of DC......i think Ditmore is average, but he is far from awful.

By the way do you know if ABC pays for Dc's fake and bake?

Whats the latest on 93.3?
One thing they need to do is quit simulcasting 106.3 on 93.3,I betcha 97.9 is not too happy with 93.3 doing UVa games also.
I can't pick up the Sportsline after 7 pm anymore on 1320,since 93.3 has been doing the Danville Braves games.I will be glad when 93.3 gets their problems sorted out.

I gotta wonder if this was the right move [leaving WLNI]. I haven't heard the show in forever. I'm probably not the only one. Although I guess they have trippled their potential listeners.

No need to wonder...It was the right move for several reasons...i.e Roanoke and Gretna/Danville that's just one of many...

Sounds like they have gained Gretna/Danville & Roanoke, but have lost much of Lynchburg, which is really too bad.

Unless they get the 93.3 or 93.9 signal ironed out before the time change you will hardly be able to pick them up period in Lynchburg.

The other day I was on eastbound 460 going from New London ,which 93.3 comes in good,well 93.3 ran out
between the Waterlick Rd. and Greenview Dr exits,I switched to 106.3 which went out after I took the Wards rd north exit,then I swiched to am 1320,thats too much to keep up with for this sports radio junkie. :roll:

I was going to Lowes Friday night to help a friend pick up a new refrigerator and was going to listen to the Sportsline on my truck,it was after 7 pm and I put it on 93.3 and the Gretna Hawks was on,1320 wasn't coming in at that time.I have about had it with this new ESPN IN VA.
I have sent them a couple of emails and haven't gotten any replies.

FCC regulations require AM stations to power down at a certain time at different times of the year. So as we get closer to the day ending earlier, the AM station will have to power down ealier and if it's originating from Roanoke, you probably won't be able to pick it up past sundown.

What's the latest on 93.3 FM going full power?If it doesn't happen soon,Sportsline will be mostly be non-existant in Lynchburg,1320 am is unreliable also.I am not too thrilled about having to listen to Gretna football in Lynchburg on Friday nights,it is great for the 106.3 listeners,but not 93.3.
