a quick update. my dad visted the radiologist and he explained how the procedures would work and he also visited the surgeon and he said he would do the surgery if his cardiologist says his heart can handle it. we will know this in the next week. please continue to pray. dad is upbeat and ready to tackle this head on.

finally a new update. my dad's cardiologist said that my dad's heart would be able to withstand surgery to remove his prostate so he will have the surgery on wednesday october 10. please be in prayer for him and my mom. thanks again!

I'm praying too, and sorry I'm on this so late. I had a radical prostatectomy 12 years ago, and I'm still kickin (although not raising much dust). If he wants to talk to a guy that's been though it, I'd be glad to oblige. BTW,
I am for the surgery, would do it again, and think under the conditions mentioned, it is your Dad's best option.
Must have a good surgeon... and assume he does.

hey everyone. my dad's surgery is at 8:15 am here in roanoke on wednesday. i ask my flamefans family for prayer that he makes it through ok and for wisdom to the doctors as they operate, and also for my mother. though id not know some of you, i consider you all flamefans family as we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. thanks again for your prayers and i will update you wednesday when i know something.
