The NFL is still a business and Vick is the face of a large-market franchise. Unlike Pacman or Tank Johnson, Vick on the field puts Levis in the seats. Guilty or not the league, along with Nike, has way too much invested in this guy to hang him out to dry.
Levi's?

I have to disagree with you on one point though. Vick is NOT the FACE of the NFL. That is what makes the NFL special. There is no FACE of the NFL. Guys like Ray Lewis, Donovan McNabb, Terrell Owens, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and many many others make up the league and they do a great job of marketing the league and the teams. The NFL does not need Vick like the NBA did Jordan or Hockey needed Gretsky. The NFL won't even know he is not playing on Sundays. The beat goes on. I agree he is more valuable to advertisers than Tank or Pacman but those same advertisers will find their next spokesman to be just as effective in a week. There are plenty of subplots and story lines in the NFL. That is why it is the best thing going in all of Sports. Their TV coverage, their highlights, the playoff system and their winner take all Championship game make it different than all the other sports.
