I think PC has a real shot at being good, just not next year. Beating Chuck South is one thing, but beating teams that have been full scholarship for a lot longer is a completely different issue.

PC may beat CSU or VMI next year, but at the same time, they may get blown out by the other three teams. It's growing pains. You'll be good, but with 8 away games next year, I don't think next year will be the year for it.

next year liberty isn't going to be the same team you've seen in the past. i think pc has a good chance of being good, but its not gonna happen right away. and i wouldn't mind seeing them have a couple upsets this year, just don't count on it here

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I can't wait for our team to hit the field. I feel like, we've got something here not many people know about. It's as if we are about to explode on the scene, and I can't wait!

Keep thinking what you want PC fan, I could talk as much trash as I wanted to on here, and it wouldn't come to close to the way you will feel when you LEAVE lynchburg.

Why are we trash talking? Really? Is there any point to it? Especially in a Tusculum thread.

If you want to say how you feel they'll be this year fine, but just trashing them to trashing them isn't needed until the week of the game.

That's probably b/c nobody in our conference has any respect for CSU either.
Our alltime record with LU in football is pretty close, so it's not like you've dominated us like we've done to Newberry.
Dude, that was freakin' 1982. One or two things might have changed in the interim.

You're right, but since we haven't played for 25 years, all you can do is look at the numbers that are in the book, not at immeasurable x-factors. Our program has changed since then, too.

In the end, we're not going to see eye-to-eye. We think our program deserves at least a little credit while you say it's not merited. It happens. Good luck against Tusculum.

first of all welcome to the board. you may not have talked trash but some other PC fans have and you just got lumped in. i do feel as if the overall PC fan base thinks they are gonna dominate the big south this year, but it is just not going to happen. i am glad that you guys are joing the big south because we need quality teams and you have have been a good D2 team for awhile. come visit us often and especially the PC/LU game week.

Kilts is a good guy and is welcome to post on here anytime. I actually welcome the PC fan perspective on here.

Some good natured ribbing between schools adds to the atmosphere of a game that really has little to nothing to build on other than PC stepping up to join us.

I hope your football team takes Tusculum a little more serios that you guys are. You are in for a suprise, and I don't think it will be one that you will like. TC has one of the toughest defenses and an offense that will suprise everyone. Have fun tailgating because the rest of the day may not go your way!

I didn't realize you played St. Pauls last year. You did well with that 27-0 victory. We played them on Sept. 16th, their 3rd game and only beat them 28-0 at their place. We did hold then to ( -9 ) rushing yards. We look forward to playing you on Sept. 1.

our first string spent most of the night on the bench. They didn't cross their own 40, as I recall.

if our coaching staff hadn't shown as much class as they did, it could have been 127-0

believe me, despite the monsoon conditions and little passing game- it wasn't as close as the score indicates.

PS: we look forward to seeing Speculum H.S. ( I mean, "College") on 9/1.

"Speculum HS" I hope that response is not an indication of the intelligence levels of the Liberty fans. I would expect more

mature responces to your guest posts. You did invite us to your forum.

Don't mind Medic...he is like that to everybody from schools that we play. We do it all in good fun and hope that discourages you from posting further my friend.

wwhs - if you can't handle the heat - get off the Flames Board.

You have to be able to take a beating with some class here...it's the way of the board...it's the way we treat visitors from opposing teams (not really - just a few of us - strictly for fun and entertainment value:). After all I would get used to hostile environments and getting beat really bad, because on September 1st Liberty will unleash a can of hurt so big that Tennessee could want to disown you.

Does your soccer team play football too? I heard they had lot of free time lately? Do we need to screw down the chairs in the locker room?

Liberty 87 - Tusculum - 3 - Coach Rocco felt bad and had our kicker kick one the wrong way.

wwhs65 is right. I have invited some TC fans to come to the site. Until they run smack they should be treated as guests. Once they starting talking, everyone is fair game. But that hasn't happened.

Doubt very seriously that we will show much against either of our first two opponets. Remember who we play week 3, that is when we will see our real offensive game plan and bandwidth. If I was Rocco, I would try to keep both of the first two games within 14-21 points, don't know if it is possible, but would not run anything up early on.
