I Must start this post by saying that I am a lifelong San Diego Padres fan, and proud of it. However, I always think the Fan vote for the MLB All-Star game is a JOKE. I just have a great case for one of my team's best this year. Here is the current vote total for the NL:

I voted for prince fielder because he has some of the best stats across the board. Fielder's batting average in .289, Gonzalez is .295 - so the difference is marginal. Fielder nearly has 26 homeruns, nearly double that of Gonzalez at 14. Fielder also has 59 RBI while Gonzalez has 51.

how about carlos pena of tampa bay. 6th in the mlb in homeruns at 17, 44 RBI, .296 BA, .391 OBP, .640 SLG, 1.031 OPS. Put this guy n a good team, and he'd be talked about a lot.
