No, actually the roles were reversed last year and you being a Houston homer should know that.

Rice only needed to win one game last year but choked away two to Oregon State.

Carolina won straight through to the championship series last year.

This year, Rice only needed to win one game against Carolina, a team in which they killed less than a week earlier, and couldn't.

Oregon State won straight through to the championship series this year.


Carolina had exponentially better pitching last year than OSU, and also better hitting, but they couldn't field a bowling ball rolling towards this. The offense is there this year, the fielding is a ton better, but the pitching isn't where it was last year. If UNC can get some starting pitching, they've got a great chance.

you do not get off that easily sly. you were flapping the ole houston piehole about rice, and bad mouthing the ACC. well who is in the finals??..nuff said. this series should be a good one that will go three games. after seeing OSU live at the charlottesville regional they have very good pitching and a great defense up the middle with joey wong and darwin barney. it really should be a great series.
