I agree Proto, I think I only had 1 homerun during those games, but only got out once in something like 9 at bats so thats maybe why I was mad ...I also hit one right to proto trying to go to right field that was kinda fun :)

Had a tourny Saturday, it's crazy on how different the ball responds during the day compared to night, it's so much more forgiving at night it's crazy. I had to play 3rd which can be scary against a C level team. Someone just got killed up at C-ville pitching, these bats and balls combined make for a very dangerous sport.

Intramural use ASA rules. Most leagues use ASA rules although there are weekend tournys here that us Utrip rules with no restriction on balls, at that point I fear for my life at 3rd ultra bats with balls that are a rock

i hit an ultra once....the fields were 300ft with 20 ft ditch a 30 ft road behind it and then another 20ft ditch and a cornfield....we were using utrip balls and i hit a few into the corn field.....it was really really ridiculous...

I've played third in those slowpitch leagues and it is a death wish. Even crazier is the fastpitch where you have to defend against the bunt and the 3b usually plays in front of the bag (though rockets down the line are much fewer and far between) I switched to center a couple years ago and it's nice knowing there is no chance you might be decapitated out there.

If there's anybody that enjoys a good "face caved-in" story, I'm sure it's Medic.

A guy on our church team got hit in the head with a line drive running on his way to 2nd. He was in the hospital for a while and literally did almost die. He's fine now though. I don't think he plays softball anymore.
