Coastal gets to host a regional this year. We find out tomorrow if they're named as a National Seed (1-8 ) which means if they win their regional, they'll host in the Super Regionals as well.

I found it very interesting that some of the at-large teams (LU's size and calibre) got in b/c of the strength of their non-conference schedules. Hopefully, this can be an area Coach Royer can really address in the future.

For those interested...

It was announced earlier that ESPNU will be carrying every game from the Myrtle Beach regional (Friday - Sunday + Monday, if necessary).

Just in case you want to watch on TV.

That would require ESPNU. And I'm thoroughly convinced somebody in America receives that signal. I'm just not sure where. Anybody in Virginia receive ESPNU?

That's OK.

The only way you can get ESPNU here is if you subscribe to digital cable. I know I won't be able to attend every game this weekend, so now I have my excuse to upgrade...LOL!

we get the U in roanoke, but only on digital. im looking forward to the cville regional. i am going to be in charlottesville helping a friend move so i hope to catch all the games. it will be cool to see the defending CWS champs oregon state play as well. anyone who is thinking of going, should get their tickets soon. the regionals have sold out quickly each year.

i don't think so. oregon state is playing pretty well right now, and the hoos have never advanced from a regional, so i will believe it when i see it.

Having the defending national champs in your regional is no walkover.

I don't think Coastal was done any favors with their regional.

They gave Oregon St the hardest regional for a #2 seed. They sent them clear across the country. There may be 7 OSU fans there the entire weekend.

Coastal feels like the NCAA Feel-good story. They got jipped having Clemson sent to them.

I think the 'horns are going to get hooked by Wake...
...Sly...if you are covering it...you will be VERY impressed by the power that Dykstra (WF 1b) has.

I think most UT folks feel they were given a VERY soft regional with Wake as a 2 seed. The regional I'll be covering here in Houston is rather tough. Rice was done no favors with Baylor along with TCU & Prairie View.

I was referring to the other two challengers at Reckling Park. Every regional has a 4 seed that is thrilled to be playing.
