The thing that I think a lot of people overlook in comparing us to Coastal is that although their record overall was much better last year, we came within a hair (and a lame call) of beating them on their home field. That, along with the number of key players they lose and that we have back IMHO gives us good cause for optimism that this will be our year.

Right now we don't deserve to be ranked. We had a 6-5 record last year. Let's prove something on the field before we claim we're a top 20 team. We can believe that, but until we prove it, it doesn't hold much weight.

You can believe that if you want, Ralph, but I question the accuracy and/or relevancy of any pre-season poll, particularly one taken 3 months prior to the start of training camp. And I freely admit to being a homer. Proud of it, in fact.
