what a day!!! the 24 passes earnhardt in career wins at a track where the 3 was dominant. gordon really has something going very good this year, and it is fun to see. gotta love those classless necks throwing their bud cans on the track. that is just wastin beer man!

I learned alot about Toyota on Friday... I got to talk to Dale Jarrett and Ty from Michael Waltrip racing about the whole process that they are going through right now. I got to Vickers as well for a few minutes and it really sucks that he not been able to make many races it's gonna take a while for him and all of the Toyota's to really get things going. When Vickers had made the race he has done well. All of the Sponsors for Michael Waltrip racing and Toyota are committed for the length of there contract. So they have the backing that they need. Medic I talked to Mark Martin for a little bit and he said that you suck!!!!!

the 24 does it again.....im waiting for mindless smack from tim and the medic. anyway, gordon survives an overheating car, and gives hendrick a 1,3 finish, eight out of the last 9 race winners, and 5-0 in the COT races. heck chevy had the seven out of the top ten today at darlington. now it is all star time in charlotte next weekend. the wrap from NASCAR.com

I am not a huge NASCAR guy....i keep up with it and watch a race from time to time...I am not really a fan of anybody....with that said, why has there always been this hatred towards Jeff Gordon?? Is it really simply because he isn't from the south??? Is it because he is well spoken?? what is the deal with the Jeff Gordon hate??

Someone fill me in please with some logical reasons...aside from "Dale Sr. was better"

obviously im a gordon fan. i think the hatred for the 24 is due to these factors:

1. when he first came on the scene he won a lot of races and beat earnhardt quite a few times.
2. he has four cup championships. the only one close to earnhardt, and has a chance to tie him if he keeps up what he is doing.
3. he has already passed earnhardt in career wins
4. he is not a southerner
5. some say he is gay, which is not true. this rumor started by a lot of earnhardt fans
6. some say he is a whiner, but tony stewart is worse, and when gordon does complain it is legit.

bottom line, he is a very good driver and is easily in the top 5 drivers of all time. now im sure medic and tim will dispute what i said, because they can't acknowledge a great driver, but that is ok. little do people know that earnhardt and gordon were friends off the track and had some business ventures. so when i see earnhardt fans throw stuff on the track it shows me how out of touch they really are.

Pretty simple really, If you like(d) Dale Sr. of Jr. you hate Gordon. He kinda took some of the spotlight away from them and their fans don't like it.

so basically he is hated for the very reasons i said would be stupid things to hate him for...he never disrespected dale sr right?? From everything I have ever seen he is pretty respectful....of course he gets angry, but when you're racing and someone causes you to wreck its hard not to get mad

and you brought up Tony Stewart...I know he isn't hugely popular, but he isn't by any means hated like Gordon...last i checked he wasn't from the south

I like watching nascar, but one of the main things that keep me turned off from it is the idiotic fans....maybe thats dumb of me, maybe i am missing a good thing....but it annoys me

another great run/win for the 24, Hendrick Motorsports is the class of the field
gordon will win the championship this year, at least it is his to lose

SMOOTHIE- you're delusional. The "Rainbow Warrior" is a friggin' pansy and needs to go away. Hendrick has merely found another way to cheat and its only a matter of time 'til they get wacked on it and lose SEVERAL crew chiefs, hopefully for the remainder of the season.

and the 24 is the biggest whine-bag on the planet, w/ the JJ and the 48 very close second.
