Growing up in West Virginia, I once considered joining a traveling carnival--just because I could eat corn dogs for every meal and sleep in a camper.

Anybody ever try the Sonic version of their breakfast corn dog? They call it "pancake on a stick." It looks like a corn dog, but it's pancake batter wrapped around a sausage link, and you dip it in syrup. :?

I'm not ragging on corn dogs. I love them. I always keep some on hand for nights like last night.

JC, as to corn dogs, do you microwave them, bake them, or deep fry them (again)?

I had a slice of grilled ham.

And a handful of Oreos.

And some juice.

And a piece of leftover Easter bunny that my son let me snag from his basket. (though I prefer SOLID bunnies to hollow- thats a real gyp, IMHO)

finished it off with a package of those crackers with the little tub of cheese on the side and the little red stick to scoop it out. (Also my son's)

I bake them. I've microwaved them before, but like them better baked.

I love baking the mini-corn dogs...
...but nothing beats deep fried. There's a gas/station convenience store out towards LC that has great corn dogs...and Sonic's are top-notch, too.

I've never had sonic's, but I'll have to try them the next time I go. I'm sure I'll be going there this weekend. My wife loves that place! I love their strawberry limeade, and she always tries to con me into going by saying you can get a rt. 44 limeade!!! It usually works though! I've tried their burgers, coney, and popcorn chicken and didn't care for them too much. I'll have to try the corn dog next time.

Between Fumble's gluttony and Medic's obvious marital problems, we might want to move this thread over to the Chapel.

Fumble, if that's the place across from the newspaper office on Lakeside, they also have chicken livers & chicken gizzards on their deli menu. I've never personally had them, but a faculty friend of mine loves their gizzards.

Get a Chili wrap. It's got Fritos in it. Not as good as the chili pie, which also had fritos in it, but they did away with that.

ha, I was thinking that same thing. Sounds like what I eat when my wife is gone for the weekend.

no no no

no problems.

I just didn't want her cooking a big thing for me, being with child and all

the problem is- when left on my own- this is what the kid and I eat

she is, in fact- an incredible cook- and the main reason I've gained 30 lbs in the last 8 years.

ok - that and the fact that I'm an unabashed glutton when it comes to ice cream and/or chocolate

Like everyone else. I actually flip my days to be normal when I'm off. It's a crazy life I live.
