At #48, Jax makes Justin Durant (LB, Hampton) the 1st FCS player to be drafted this year.

2 QBs were taken within like 5 picks of each other in Round 2. Are a lot of QBs usually taken on day 1?

I think QB's go everywhere. For every bust you get in the top-10, a guy sneaks somewhere in the middle of the second to the third round. Steve Young spoke high of John Beck out of BYU (hmm.. wonder why?) but I think he's going to be solid for Miami and is probably going be starting by the middle of the year.

I wasn't happy when the Dolphins passed on Quinn, but this kid from BYU has a solid game and could help the Dolphins a lot....i have forgiven them....for now...but if this ends up biting us i will not be so forgiving

I think Ted Ginn's firtst TD kick return may put you in a more forgiving mood. Sometimes you have to let things play out before evaluating a teams draft. They may pass over someone who would appear to be an obvious choice early because they know they can get better value at the same position later.

I"m partial toward my man Kevin Kolb. He's a great kid who is 1st Round quality.

I just hope that Kolb doesn't turn out like David Klingler and Andre Ware. They came from a very high flying offense (I don't know if it was a run and shoot or something similar). Klingler and Ware both flamed out royally. I have seen Kolb play a couple times and I hope he does well

Not every UH QB are exactly the same. The offense Kolb has run is very different from the old run & shoot under Ware & Klingler.

For the record, Klingler is a youth pastor on Ed Young Sr.'s staff at Second Baptist here in Houston. He is the Offensive Coordinator for Second's HS football team on the side.

If you would've told me while I was a student at Coastal that Tyler Thigpen would've been drafted I would've laughed in your face and asked what time you started drinking.

The amount of improvement between his junior year and now is flat out amazing.

I'm sorry, SJ, but Thigpen was always a scary talent. He was the one guy on that team that kept our coaches up at night. I remember after we beat them here in '03 that Mickey Mays, our D-Line coach at the time, remarked that "that freshman quarterback's gonna be a good one." Unfortunately for Thigpen, it wasn't until his senior year that the CCU coaches changed the offensive scheme to one that allowed him to show what he could really do.

Good to see Chad Nkang, one of the true defensive playmakers in FCS, get a shot in the league with Jacksonville.

Philly trades the 1st rd pick to DALLAS (of all hated teams) and takes SLYs boy Kolb from UH

needless to say, Eagles fans everywhere are calling for someone's head. :x

absolute chaos at all the draft parties with this move. Like tempers weren't bad to begin with.

better hope this kid pans out. The town is pretty much stunned but the front office seems pretty high on him

You're not going to be disappointed, medic. The last time you guys booed a QB being drafted it turned out OK>

Michael Bush at pick 100 has to be the steal of the last few years. The Raiders had an excellent draft.

So is AJ Feeley but under the Eagles system he looked quite good, then went the the dolphins and royally sucked. Its all about the system. Ill agree its a stretch and i wasn't happy ( i may or may not have yelled like medic does when he gets angry haha) However Andy Reid is a guy i gotta trust, his overall body of work leads me to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I would not be surprised if he turned out to be the best QB in the draft. Seriously.
