The most successful program on Liberty Mountain deserves its own forum. We give Coach Green and the Lady Flames their props while breaking down their run to the Big Dance once again.

Yes you will, looking forward to it. Right now, Kendra says she is coming with me, I hope she doesn't change her mind.

How about the Bream connection?

Sid played baseball for us before he went on to Pirates' and Braves' fame.
Sid's sister played basketball & volleyball for us.
Another Bream (nephew?) was the punter on the football team, I think.
Sid's niece is currently on the women's basketball team.

That's 4 Breams in 4 different sports from one extended family. Can your memory top that one, Fumble or OldFlame? :P

There were three Browns that are from the same family that played baseball for LU. One was the winning pitcher in the first game LU ever played and one still holds the career strike out record I believe.

Bream's little brother Sheldon played baseball here too. David and Jason Benham were twins that played baseball in the 90s and currently Tim and Phil John are on the baseball team. The McDougall Brother run track.

There was a WSC playing ZEALAND by marraige, too...formerly Coffee...right? A couple of Benham brothers in baseball. And a couple more pitchers who also doubled a spear chuckers in track, I think.

I remember that...

Anyway, back to the original topic. I REALLY hope Jessica Oestreicher comes to LU. She can definately be successful here!

Could you imagine Frazee and Oestreicher on the court at the same time? THAT WOULD BE HUGE. She'd also have a good shot at the WNBA with the Katie Feenstra comparisons.

I think LU would have a chance to again make some noise in the tournament :)

i practiced with the girls a few times at the beginning of this year. if they get this girl, and the frazee's are still playing.... swooh, i doubt i'd be any competition for them! not to say i was ever much competition in the first place (yes, i admitted that), but HEY, i'm all for them needing to find 6'6", 300 pound guys to have a competitive practice team!!!

Christi Cherry and Don Cherry... OK, maybe not. (That one was for the Canadians.)

This thread seems to be going down a rocky road... I think I'm going to go get some ice cream.... I have a sudden craving.
