Now I can hear someone saying lets rush him, but that time you are stunned and slow to react based on what you just seen and heard, you maybe asking you, is this a skit, etci understand from that perspective...i'd probably freeze too....it just seemed like enough time went by where i you could of gathered yourself...

4everfsu wrote:I hate to tell you but a 22 he was using was probably using long range or even hollow points, they will not bounce off you. As a matter of fact a 22 slug is just as dangerous then a 9mm, for the fact once inside your body, say chest area, it does more damage internally because of it capability of bouncing around inside causing damage, internally bleeding, etc. People can die just as easy from a 22 slug as a 9 mm.thats if it gets shot into your skull....they don't bounce around your abdominal area....i'm not saying they cna't die from 22 shots but i'd much rather be shot with a 22 than a 9mm. ask any cop....

4everfsu wrote:Maybe if the 22 slug was a short and was an old shell, powder was old therefore not much velocity, but I would not swear off getting shot by a 22 as nothing. I know a vet who got shot about 30 years ago by a jealous girlfriend who was drunk, with one 22 slug, in his stomach, he died of internally bleeding before any medical action could save his life.i've heard it bounce around heads and ribcages....but not to the point wear its a pinball....my brother's bestfriend's dad is a er surgeon for a local hospital i'll ask him what he's seen.....
Dont tell me a 22 slug will not bounce around ask any ER doctor who has worked gunshot wounds.

I've heard stories where people didn't even know what was going on until he came into their room, and starting shooting people. I'm not going to run at some guy with who knows how many guns he has, and try to take him out. Once he leaves, if you didn't get shot there were maybe 3 or 4 at most in one room. Some girls. You are just trying to get yourself together, and he comes back ready to shoot again. No way you could be at a point to over take him. It sounds like he would go in a room, unload both of his guns in there, leave the room, reload in the hallway, go in another room and unload his guns there, etc.
Unless there were people in the hallways that saw what was going on, and they could take him out, then noone has a chance to. I'm pretty sure if he saw someone in the hallway, by time they would have gotten to him, he would have at least had one bullet ready for them.

4everfsu wrote:Semi automatic, excuse me information policeThere's a big difference between auto and semi-auto and what they're capable of, so it's important to get technical details right. A semi-auto is limited by the capability of the person firing the weapon. A full automatic handgun would average around 8 rounds per second with one pull of the trigger. In other words, with a 15 round clip, 2 seconds per clip. Even an automatic weapon only capable of burst firing would fire 3 rounds per pull, which would significantly lessen the time required to empty a clip.

FlameDad wrote:Anyone that has a little practice can reload a semi in under 2 seconds.thank you...i'm with ya on reload times but this guy either didn't use the 22 or was in the movie equilibrium
A factory 9mm load will deliver multiple times the energy of any 22 rd.
No one with any training would attempt to shoot 2 pistols at the same time a la John Wayne.

FlameDad wrote:You don't rack the slide on reloadThat's a good point. I was obviously practicing empty, and two handed. I'm also not very practiced, which is probably not a good thing. I think a couple of seconds is certainly doable, but I doubt he was pulling it off. Not with so much going on, and especially not if he was taking turns between wielding his two weapons.
JDUB wrote:ok, you figure he shoots 15 rounds... everyone still alive is on the floor or hiding behind something. then he drops the clip and grabs another, sticks it in and racks the slide... which doesn't take long, esp. if the slide hangs open after the last shot you just mash the lever... thats how my pistol does.Exactly what I'm thinking
but anyway, say 7 seconds to reload. if your hiding behind something, you think from the time the last shot goes off, your gonna realize that he's out and reloading, get up and charge before he's back shooting? oh, and don't forget, didn't he have two guns? so he's gonna see you coming, grab his other one and your dead... yeah, i'm not gonna be charging him. only chance of that is if you could get his back

JDUB wrote:esp. if the slide hangs open after the last shot you just mash the lever... thats how my pistol does. All semi's do that, as FlameDad so astutely pointed out. Racking the slide was a mistake on my part since I was practicing with empty clips. Shows how long it's been since I've been out to practice.

The poor guy didn’t make it very long. :)
