Charleston Southern men's basketball coach Barclay Radebaugh is walking with a little extra spring in his step these days after signing four freshmen Wednesday on college basketball's National Signing Day.

At least one national recruiting analyst is impressed.

"I would say it's a definite and substantial upgrade in their recruiting than classes I've seen in the past," said Justin Young of Rivals.com. "It's one of the better classes in the Big South, probably only behind Winthrop. The players they signed are very good players and probably could have signed with bigger conferences had they waited longer. Coach Radebaugh has every reason to be proud of this class."

Rivals has always been a little funny about their rankings. I'm a little weary reading anything that comes from their "experts"

Was he? Was there even any time for anyone to try to get the job? (I'm not doubting you, I just didn't hear of anyone going after the job)...Peele was hired within an hour of Marshall's press conference at WSU. I know some WU fans threw his name out there, but that's as far as I thought it went.

He had been keeping in touch with them for that very reason. Once word got out that Marshall was visiting WSU, I'm guessing he started making phone calls.

Lets just hope they do better out of conference...thats an area where every Big South team but Winthrop consistently lacks wins.

What kind of a person keeps in touch like that behind the scenes like a vulture just waiting for a coaching change?
