There are more people in relationships (i.e. married, engaged, or dating) - 41%, than there are single people - 34%.

50% are listed as conservative or very conservative, while only 1% is listed as liberal.

Coldplay is the top band, followed by Casting Crowns and Jack Johnson.

The Notebook is the top movie, followed by Gladiator and Braveheart.

Lost is the most popular tv show. 24 and The Office are next.

The top books are The Bible, Blue Like Jazz, and Wild at Heart.

I have never heard of any of the bands or the movie Notebook. That must make me old.

Not knowing the movie Notebook just means you are male...the only reason I know about it is because my father-in-law and sister-in-law were extras in it. But I haven't seen it...I've heard it is the ultimate chick-flick (though it does have Rachel McAdams in it..and she's pretty hot).

Coldplay and 'The Notebook'? Are they pumping raw estrogen into the dining hall now?

It's more than a little ironic that The Notebook and Coldplay are at the top of their lists, while at the same time, one of the top books is 'Wild At Heart'. For those who don't know, the premise of the book is mainly that God created men as something along the lines of big hairy manly testosterone-laden warrior/poets (gross oversimplification, I know). Think of 'Daddy Day Care' but with Vikings.

I must have a better wife than most. She brought The Notebook home from the video store (pre-Netflix) one night and we threw it in. When it started getting really schmaltzy (about 4 minutes in), however, Mrs. Lib just started rolling her eyes and we spent the rest of the movie sniping at it MST3K-style. Good times.

So the moral of the story is: Even chick flicks can be fun if you've got the right chick.

Just noticed this. That's only 75%. I would guess that the other 25% are more into stalking as opposed to dating.

What specifically made you think that? Because Coldplay and Jack Johnson are in the top music picks for almost every network I've looked at. The TV shows are all the same, too. The only difference between LU and other networks, that I can see, is that we're more conservative, have the Bible as a top book pick, have girly movie picks but also a lot more girls than most other networks.

So, if by lame you mean feminine, then yes. I think so.

it was the bands and the girly movies. So apparently everyone is lame but me. But this has been the case most of my life. (I was kinda lame up through 5th grade)

The rest were "It's Complicated" or didn't have something listed.

While informer was great, it was more due to the fact that I thought wearing sweatpants everyday to school was socially acceptable just because it was the easiest thing to play football in at recess.

i actually had a playbook (paper folder w/ notebook paper in it) for recess football.....i was too lazy to do point out the routes with my hands...

"you go this way *using left hand as the field and using right index finger to draw out the route*"
