Yes. His claim to fame is IVERSON. I really don't see how your claim to fame is linked to a ping pong ball.

So they are going to hire Greenberg over RD?

RD was never even brought up at Radford. The only D1 he'll be a head coach at next year is NAIA D1.

Being you are considering yourself the Number 1 Liberty Fan - you are terribly negative. Did Dunton Kick you in the head or something? Did you even know him?

What kind of work do you want to get into after college? I want to come watch you and criticize the way you do it or better yet - watch you only 5% of the time and just fill in the holes with things people don't like you say.

I like your enthusiasm SuperJon, and I don't know you at all, but let's lay off the guy. He finished in the top 3, in the BS, every year he was here at Liberty as head Coach, brought in some really good talent and hey, when we do hire a new coach and everyone is saying we will be one of the favorites to win it next year - IT WILL STILL BE WITH HIS PLAYERS.

Geez, proto. Go get a coffee or something.

SJ's been to just about every game program-wide on this campus since he's been here. RD was also a public figure here and was/is open to public scrutiny and criticism. You're about a month late to argue what RD did or didn't do. Also, just so you know, when the new coach comes in, they become his players.

BTW, can I come by your office the next time you design a logo?

Raging...SJ is ofter rather........blunt

But he is in the running for the Binghamton job...but I think he's their #2 or #3 choice...so to count him out really isnt that fair

I do think SJ and coach had a run in at one point, but I dont think that changed his tone about him....or maybe it did subconsciously

I don't recall any rules posted about complete fabrications or dis-information, so I think you're safe. :D

Don Burgess, a standout former player from Harrisonburg and now an assistant coach at High Point, said Tuesday he'd been contacted and expected to be interviewed by the search committee. Burgess started his coaching career at Radford before stops at VMI and Coastal Carolina in addition to High Point.

Meanwhile, for the first time it was revealed that another former Highlanders playing great and assistant coach, University of Buffalo assistant Chris Hawkins, said he had applied for the job. Hawkins said Tuesday he's heard nothing from the university.

Some additional names for their coaching search.

I'm not saying that he is not fair game to criticize. You either loved him or hated him. So be it, he's gone, and it's now time to wish him the best and pray that he gets a good coaching position somewhere to support his family. Do we want coaches from LU getting bad jobs after leaving here? Or do you want coaches that were here to get respectable jobs. Seems like the later would help in recruiting good coaches in the future.

I have no issues with SuperJon's game attendance, I'm questioning his loyalty to this program as a whole through good times and bad. I worked for the Bullets (Wizards) and Capitals for 5 years. Both teams were not great, other than one year we got spanked by the Bulls in the first round, we were below 500 most years I was there. Susan O'Malley, who I consider one of the sharpest leaders in sports, had on policy - Say something negative about our coach, players, administration or season - consider it your resignation. It wasn't just because we worked there, it was because the more negative you here, it's starts to affect the success of the organization. And it applies here to supporters of LU. We all want Liberty to succeed, so why would we bash a coach that is on staff, past or present. There is just no reason to bash a guy who has already been fired.

PS - Raging Tire Fire - I definitely need you here for our next logo design. Yours is tremendous - Karate Kid called, he wants his logo back. We are good at what we do, if you don't believe me - read the Ad Age article that just mentioned us. http://adage.com/article?article_id=115636

If RD had left of his own volition for greener pastures, I could see your point. That wasn't the case so where he ends up has no bearing on future LU coaches at all. I really don't care what kind of job he gets so long as he can feed his family.

I guarantee you that it very much was b/c you worked there. Did she really expect everyone in the stands to be diehard supporters? Really? Should we? Really?

SWEEP THE LEG! I would have hoped that a child of the '80's like yourself would know the difference between the Karate Kid, Cobra-Kai and Cobra The Enemy, all of which is neither here nor there. I never said you weren't good at what you did nor do I care to read the article which I am sure is now laminated and taped to the front doors of the Bank of the James building. That last was just a little stab at your "hang around in the workplace and complain" comment from before. Thus, it was what the young kids today call a "joke", one which you clearly did not get. All the more reason for you to go get some coffee and breathe for a few minutes.

For the record, I like my logo. Nice clean lines. Clearly descriptive. Not melodramatic. Graphically speaking, I feel it comes from a very healthy place. (<- this means joke)

Good stuff Proto. I esp enjoyed the O'Malley stuff. She ran a tight ship for sure....As for the comback on the logo comment? Great response again...

I am glad to see Don Burgess get a sniff at the Radford job. He is a good friend of mine and I think he will do well there. The guy can recruit and the players love him. He was a pretty nice player too back in the old Doug Day Radford days. I was with him 2 weeks ago at the Virginia State Tournament and he told me he expected to get an interview. I endorsed him on the HPU/Liberty game on air and I also sent a letter on his behalf....He has no chance of getting it now  Really though, Greenberg has been rumored for some time now so we will see what happens.
