Anyone else got this cd yet? It's a good cd musically, I just can't decide if I like it or not.
I think musically and everything it's really good, but it's way too teeny-bopper lyrically in a lot of it. It's all about girls. Some songs are really good and I really like them, but overall it seems like a regression from Mmhmm.
I have it and like it...I think its about on the same level as mmhmm...what does it for me is the amazing deathbed epic song at the end....absolutely amazing.....
They have grown a lot but you can tell they(he) was a lot happier when writing these songs....
good cd, and really a good band that gets a bad rap because of their teen appeal....aside from the cheesy first single the lyrics on this cd aren't overly cheesy in my opinion....
and when they sing songs about God its done in a way that is far from cheesy or your typical worship songs cliches....
so in summary...I like it....about the same as mmhmm, but deathbed put it over the top for me.....
Deathbed is amazing, as are some of the other songs.
I just think I'm over cd's where every other song is about a girl. I liked Mmhmm because it seemed like there were a lot of songs about growing up in there and this one just seems like he's trying to impress his girlfriend at times.
It's good, and I'll listen to it when it's sunny outside and I'm driving down the road with the windows down, but I doubt it'll be a mainstay for me.
yeah, i agree...i will probably do the same....that in pop it in just to listen to deathbed...I really am in love with that song....
talking about new music....have you heard the new anberlin?? I absolutely love it....favorite cd so far this year....not that there has been a whole lot to choose from yet in 2007
yeah I am giving the Anberlin cd a break for now...but it was in my cd player non stop for 2 weeks as well...it took me a few days to get it because everywhere around he sold out and I wasn't about to pay 18 bucks for it at the bookstore
there is this band Deas Vail that just came out with a cd...its pretty solid....but nothing that will blow you away
Lovedrug just put out a decent cd as well...again nothing amazing....
