Ok, so I just downloaded a cd onto this computer. I'm on my laptop at home.

All of my music is on my desktop back in Lynchburg.

Is there any way to get this cd onto my iPod without it deleting all of the other stuff?

yes, but then you have to manually add and delete songs, so no more auto update. Its not that big of a deal just kind of annoying if you dont have time to do it or whatever

Turn on manual update mode for the iPod. (It's in the iPod options in iTunes.) Then drag your new album over to the iPod when it's plugged in. When you get back to Lynchburg, import the album into your main Library and then turn auto-update back on. No big deal.

Ok, that sounds easy enough, but I'm dumb or something and can't even find the iPod option part.

When iTunes is in full-screen mode, click on your iPod in the left-hand side of the window. Then in the bottom right corner you should see a button with a picture of an iPod on it. All of the iPod options are in there.

I'm assuming the iPod has to be plugged in for that to be an option.

The thing is, the secod I plug it in, it syncs automatically.

I'm confused.

Maybe I'll just burn a cd and listen to it until I get to school.
